Love this item. Blink is a great system as a whole. We got this camera to pair with our doorbell cam and it works great. So easy to set up always has great connection and picture. Had never had blink before moving and now we have blink products and I love them. Definitely recommend! Will be getting more blink indoor minis in the future. However, without a Blink Subscription Plan, you lose access to key features including unlimited cloud video recording, 60-day cloud storage, live view recording, and Extended Live View capabilities. As an alternative, you can use local storage with a Sync Module 2 and USB drive to save motion-triggered clips without a subscription, though this requires the additional hardware purchase. The packaging looks like they have been to war
Not sure if the cameras are even going to work. They were a day later than was indicated but no worries. Target box was in perfect condition, the product packaging however looks like it was in a war. Not what you expect when you order a new product for sure!

Lacks Functionality w/ Alexa App
This is a good indoor camera and does everything it needs to. However, if you are looking for an indoor camera to integrate to your wider smart home system that is entirely controlled by the Alexa phone app, do not buy this camera. I control every light in my home using the Alexa app, as well as view the live feed of my doorbell camera. The Blink camera, while advertised as "working" with Alexa, does no more than enable it as a skill to be used to view with Alexa devices with screens (EXCLUDING the phone app).

At this time, Blink cameras in the Alexa smartphone app are only used to set up some settings and enable them across your Alexa ecosystem. You are correct that it is currently not able to be used as a way to see your camera feed within the app itself just yet. You are able to use the Blink smartphone app for all of those features as well as any screened Alexa device such as Echo Shows and Fire Sticks.
