I have this in my daughter’s room. I’m able to tell alexa to put alarms for school, and they can ask random questions and receive answers from her. It’s convenient and can be used for many things such as hearing music, putting timers, etc. when I don’t need it I pushe the circle crossed out so it won’t hear any requests

I prefer the older shape of the Echo Dot (Generation 3) where it’s more if a disc/ puck shape. The current ball shape looks more for a kid’s room. The device, itself, works great and is easy to set-up.
