A: This particular bag can keep items hot or cold up to 2 hours. If you are looking to extend the time to keep something cold we suggest the use of ice packs or other frozen foods within the bag. Also, the least amount of dead space in the bag the better. If there is empty space left at the top of the bag, fold the bag over as if it were a paper bag.

A: We DO NOT recommend using dry ice with our thermal bag. It’s possible to do, because the dry ice will not damage the bag itself, but you have to be aware that the outside of the bag will become extremely cold and can cause skin burns.

Use them to organize your freezer
These bags are big and sturdy. Yes, the handles break and don’t close very well. But….This is how I use them: I use them to organize food in my freezer. I have one bag for poultry, one for beef, one for pork, one for fruit/veggies, one for fish, and one for ice cream/frozen desserts. This way it’s easy to find things in the freezer!

Not great.
When it's hot as Hades outside (which is when you most need it) this bag does very little to keep food cold let alone frozen. And others are correct.... it doesn't close well so air leaks out. I would not purchase this again. If you have a car, buy a real cooler.

Buy only in a pinch!
These bags are supposed to be more effective at keeping food cold if on the fuller side. This seems an odd claim when all 3 bags I’ve purchased do not stay firmly snapped and come open despite how empty or full they are. Only buy these if your in a pinch, can secure them upright and don’t have a need to really keep things cold.

Worked perfectly
Used this as an extra layer of insulation to keep frozen baked goods from thawing in a cooler with ice packs while traveling for 8 hrs in July. Everything was still frozen by the time I got to my destination.
