    I bought this because I recently upgraded my iPhone to one with USBC. I have plenty of USBC cables, but I have an older aftermarket wired head unit in my car that is not compatible with newer USBA-USBC cables. Apple Car Play would not work with the cables I owned. For whatever reason, using a lightning cable and this adapter makes the head unit and Car Play very happy. Just glad I don't have to upgrade the unit!

    Does not stay connected

    It constantly disconnects for no reason. I use it in my car with my iphone 15 pro. Sometimes it reconnects itself, other times I have to unplug the cord and plug it back in. Either way, I have to wait for Carplay to reboot. I thought maybe I had a defective one, so I exchanged it, but the new one does the same thing. It’s super frustrating.

    BUY THIS FOR IPHONE 15 PRO MAX CARPLAY!

    No usb-c cables would work for CarPlay with my iPhone 15 pro max which is a known issue with the 15 Supposively. This adapter fixed that problem! Buy it!

    All my cords are lighting cables. This makes it easier to not have to buy as many new cables. A bit pricey, but works with charging and CarPlay in my Toyota RAV4. Love it!
