Q: How do we turn on? I've used the button on remote and nothing happens it just blinks red. the charging port stays red. We've had the battery charging 2 days now.

Q: can this be used outside?

Help please it powers up and is perfect for my kitties however the directs completely reserved. I've read and read but haven't seen info from fixing it basically the transmitter is backwards. If I hit forward it moves backwards I wanna go left.and it goes backwards. Up and down and the same. Please help or should I return it

I want a proper drone one day and I just got this to have some fun and see if I’ll like it enough to invest in a real drone. It’s fun and all, but the battery has a 6-minute lifespan (literally—it even says so in the directions) and it takes 30-40 min to charge. The battery dies even before you’ve gotten the hang of flying it! While cute and fits in your hand, this is not the one.

Battery stopped working within a week. My daughter is crushed. Not worth it at all. I wish we can return it but we through away the packaging.

The charger stopped working and because it is specific to the battery, there is no other charger you can use to charge the drone. Sad my son was only able to use it for a week after Christmas.

Ignore the low reviews;30 bucks is more than worth it. I've been flying UAV since 2015. I've flown race quads, pricey photog drones, and many many toy quads indoor and outdoor. People who let a young child crash it into oblivion shouldn't be disappointed if it stops working.. out of the box I immediately felt the incredibly tight and responsive pitch and yaw and it's plenty of punch for last second maneuvering. My favorite feature is the flight controller killing the motors as soon as it detects a crash! That means the motors should last a long time. I'm hoping Ascend comes out with a full acro fpv quad! I destroy all my quads eventually so I'll be buying this one multiple times i imagine. GET IT!

Easy to fly for my 5 year old, looks great, but only lasted one day. The propellers started working unevenly so the drone will only get off the ground for a minute. My 5 year old is extremely disappointed.

Works for a few weeks and then battery doesn't charge

This is our second Ascend Aeronautics ASC-950 drone with the same battery issue. The battery stopped charging after 2 weeks. We even tried charging it in other Ascend Aeronautics ASC-950 chargers (since we own multiple), and even though the light turned solid red (indicating it was fully charged), it did not work. We tried the battery in the other Ascend Aeronautics ASC-950 drones we have, and it won't work (so it's not an issue with the drone itself, but the battery). This has happened to both Ascend Aeronautics ASC-950 drones we own. We contacted the manufacturer and because they don't have a supply of batteries available, can only tell us to return to Target for a refund or exchange. Not sure what the issue is in their manufacturing or sourcing of batteries, but it's a waste of time and money.

Very short battery life, but super fun and easy to fly. My 5 year old had no problem with it, until we went to charge the dead battery after one days' use and found that the charger/battery no longer worked. I reached out to customer service and was basically told there's nothing they could do. Do not buy this drone.

This shouldn't even be sold. It takes forever to charge and then only holds a charge for less than 10 min. It says even in the booklet up to "6 minutes" this is a child's toy. This is a joke and I am very unhappy. I won't purchase from this company again and am returning.

We got this for our 6 year old, after he discovered his friend's little drone. We were impressed with how nice the drone looked straight out of the box. However, the appeal was soon lost. It seems the manufacturer put a lot into making the drone look nice, but zero effort into the battery. Battery life, after a 45 minute full charge is literally like 6 minutes. Who thought it was a bright idea to make a kids' toy with next to no battery life? I mean, this is 2022, batteries have been around for how many decades now? If you're gonna put the effort into making a toy LOOK nice, put the effort into making the battery life worthwhile. Waste of money. Should have read the reviews before we bought it, lesson learned. We will definitely be researching more before we pick out another drone.

6 Minute Battery Life - 3 years ago
6 min runtime, 30-45 min charge time. Can't find manufacturer info to order extra batteries. Instructions say to charge via a computer USB port, not an external charger (weird). Battery terminals in remote were installed incorrectly (two spring terminals for same battery slot) had to pull battery terminal out reverse it to get batteries in correctly. Flies well once up and going.

I'm an adult and have been interested in drones for awhile now. My curiosity got the best of me and figured I should learn on a cheap one both in case I crash it and also in case I don't like the hobby. I'm blown away by this little drone. It has 3 speed modes that are perfect for learning on, and it's proven to be very tough. I've crashed it into the walls, my TV, the tile, and a few trees in the backyard. It took it all like a champ and finally broke an arm when I smoked it into the wood fence at full speed. I used some plastic specific super glue to fix the break and it's flying just like new again. I will note that while it has proven very tough for my use, all of my crashes were mistakes in intent-driven learning, so I can understand why some reviews say that their kids broke it within 15 minutes. If you're not trying to learn proper flight and just launch this thing and then drop it out of the sky from 20 feet, yes, you're going to break it. Now the worst part is I felt like a kid again and I see this hobby getting expensive quick!
