Astepro Allergy Azelastine Hydrochloride Steroid Free Antihistamine Nasal Spray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Asterpro works as good or better than any prescription drug I have used in the past. With my allergies I always have an itchy runny nose. Asterpro can be used twice a day, but I only need one spray in each nostril and I am good to go for the day. I highly recommend trying this if you have allergies . Sometimes I have gotten a bitter taste in my mouth, just tilt your head downward when spraying and the problem is solved.

If you follow instructions on how to use it, it does not have too bad of a taste. Do not tilt your head back and spray it, but lean over it and then quick spray. I have been suffering from allergies all of my life, but this is the best spray I have ever tried. I love that it's non-drowsy and I don't have to deal with constant sneezing and a runny nose. No more red nose. It will save a lot of tissues in our house. This is a must-have.

At 1st there was a slight burning & stinging sensation in the nostrils and I sneezed once. The taste down the back of my throat was bitter for several minutes, but after about 20–30 minutes, I noticed my nose clearing up a bit, sneezing reduced, and I felt I could breathe more easily. Over several hours, the congestion stayed more tolerable than without any treatment.

It took a couple times to figure out how to spray it without getting a strong taste in your mouth but if you do it right it’s not a problem at all. This also hasn’t dried out my nasal cavity like other sprays. I typically have a problem with nose bleeds and nasal sprays but so for this hasn’t happened.

I sprayed each nostril, and within a few minutes things started to open up, I could actually breathe through my nose. It’s rare that a nasal spray gives relief that quickly. That said, there’s definitely some trial and error. If you don’t follow the instructions exactly, you’ll taste it. Tilting your head forward or keeping it neutral instead of back seems to help a lot. Also, priming the bottle and not overspraying matters, just doing the required sprays makes a difference. The taste is somewhat bitter/sweet (depending on how much you overshoot), and yes it can pull back into your throat if you lean back right after spraying, so the timing and posture are important. I didn’t notice any side effects at all. For someone who’s tired of being blocked up from allergies, this has been one of the better sprays I’ve tried. I’ll definitely continue to use this when congested from allergies.
