Q: Was the formula changed? The tube I received was chunky, blue, and separated. It wouldn’t mix. I returned and was sent a new tube- this tube was also the same. I won’t be purchasing again. A waste of money for what used to be an amazing product.

  • A: It separates when it is too cold, if I get this shipped during the winter it does this. It actually says on the product do not expose the product to temperatures below 5°C or 41°F . So in colder months I just buy it at the store and it has been fine for me.

    75% Water Now

    I have been using Cicalfate for two years now. The last one I received was 75% water. What happened? I’m giving 3 stars only because I was so satisfied with the product before this. After reading the reviews, I know it wasn’t just one defective tube that I received. What changed in the last two months? Avene, please correct this.

    Would not recommend

    Product seems to work ok, I had to return it as the oil and the cream had separated. Once I got a bottle that had the right cream, it’s been pretty good.

    Disappointing

    I ve been using this cream for the past 4 years, but this time I bought the new version and as I opened it, it separated all the water and it didn’t help when I try to shake it or massage the tube.

    Put the tube in hot water to help emulsify!

    Saw a comment on here saying to put the tube in hot water for 20 min and then SHAKE for a decent amount of time to emulsify again. If the tube is very cold the water separates from the thick emollient and it needs the heat and shake to go back to normal. I love the product it’s perfect and completely mixed after doing that. Won’t ever live without this.

    Disappointed and Annoyed

    The first time I bought this I was so surprised of the relief I got from my skin. I am constantly flairing up and on Dupixent shots for my skin. I reordered a new one and opened it up to get a whole bunch of water coming out of the tube. I tried shaking it and mixing up the product and there was no difference. I went to order a second one thinking maybe the one I got was tampered with and had the same problem with the second one I received. I love Avene products and believe in this brand so this was highly disappointing! Not sure where to go from here. I find it annoyingto spend my money on a faultyproduct!!!As a customer, I feel like Ive been duped twice!!I feel as if where this product is an ongoing problem with most people now, the only thing that would bring my confidence back for this brand is for the company reps find a way to make this right for the people that received these defected products!!😟

    Holy Grail

    I found this when dealing with sensitive skin on my face and allergic breakouts. It's the only thing that calmed it and restored it to normal. I now use this daily and always under my makeup. Also use it for itchy skin anywhere on my body. I highly recommend !

    More water than cream 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Why is this pure water? At first I thought it was expired and then I read other reviews of this with same issues. I shook the tube to combine the cream and water and nothing-water still came out first. You can hear the water swishing in it when you shake it. Totally disappointed. And I love Avene products. ☹️

    Do not waste your money!

    I just purchased this bottle and the formula must have been changed an Avene must be aware since there are multiple complaints of the same issue. I have tried shaking the tube and massaging the tube but it does not work and there is water everywhere when squeezing. It is a complete mess. I have used this product in the past and it worked so well but Im disappointed I will have to switch the LaRoche Posay because the formula has not been fixed by Avene

    Disappointed

    I loved this product but I opened a new Cicaltate+ Restorative cream and it was just full of clear liquid. I am so upset. I was so excited to open a new one when I loved it the last time I used it.
