Q: Was the formula changed? The tube I received was chunky, blue, and separated. It wouldn’t mix. I returned and was sent a new tube- this tube was also the same. I won’t be purchasing again. A waste of money for what used to be an amazing product.

Q: When opened for the first time, is it normal for there to be liquid separated from the cream? The one I received had about a teaspoon of liquid coming out of the tube before the actual cream.

At first I felt like it was too thick and felt greasy when applied . I have been struggling with breakouts lately, I was nervous to put such a thick cream over my skin just in case . I haven’t noticed any new breakouts after using it . I’ve noticed it helps to heal skin though, on my chin I have a patch of dry skin that I can’t get to go away and this cream has helped to smooth that out and moisturize. I use it at night time as a barrier cream and I have grown to really like it . It’s a non scented thick cream , comes in a metal tube and is easy to apply . It can help to restore skin irritation and dryness in 2 days which is actually amazing . I will continue to use this and see what happens after using longer than 2 weeks . I feel that this would be excellent for people with super dry skin, , sensitive skin, rosacea, or excema . It doesn’t take much though! Just a little bit goes really far.

She’s struggled with painful cracks and sores on her hands since infancy, and finding something that works and doesn’t sting has always been a challenge—until now. Within 48 hours of using this cream, we saw a drastic improvement. The deep cracks began to heal, redness faded, and the skin started to look and feel healthier. She actually wants to apply it because it doesn’t burn or cause discomfort—a huge win for a child with sensitive skin. Although I’m not entirely sure what a “postbiotic ingredient” is, what matters most is that this cream works, is gentle enough for kids, and lives up to its claims. It’s now a staple in our home, and I’d recommend it to any parent dealing with similar skin issues.

The formula did change! It used to be thick and it would have a bit of white cast til you rubbed it in well which was nice if you were letting it sit for a while. Now it’s super watery and thin. The packaging is also not the same which doesn’t matter but the formula was better before. :(

My cheeks often get red, dry, and irritated, and not many products calm it down without making things worse. This Avène Cicalfate+ cream has been amazing. It’s rich but doesn’t feel too heavy, and I love that it’s completely fragrance-free, so it doesn’t sting or cause more redness. I apply a small amount after cleansing and it immediately soothes the discomfort, especially around my nose and cheeks. I also love that I can carry it with me and reapply during the day if my skin feels tight or irritated. And the best part—it’s gentle enough that even my little nephew can use it when his skin gets dry. This is definitely something I’ll keep repurchasing. Avène always delivers when it comes to caring for sensitive skin. Really a plus that its fragrance free! Its a new must have for my sensitive skin!

It’s really helped so far, and I like the lack of scent with this cream too. I haven’t used it on my face, but it seems really thick and would probably only work as a night treatment if needed.

My granddaughter has redness and eczema on her forehead and scalp. She has tried so many things. She had a breakout when I recieved this cream. She used it twice daily. I could not b ed live how well this helped see the photos it completely cleared it up. It’s hot smooth kind thick texture. No smell. Contains copper zinc sulfate complex Acene thermal sprin water.
