[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have such a love/hate relationship with this product. The first bottle I purchased, I instantly hated because the application was so incredibly difficult (I've been tanning with mousse, every week for about 12 years now) but this tan was so difficult to move around and blend. However, once I left it on and washed it off, it was such a beautiful colour tan that developed more into the next day. It stayed put well, and I was determined to get the next application done better. I still struggled a bit, but with every application, I found it easier and easier to apply. A win, I'd say!So I ordered another bottle, it took a while to arrive and when it arrived it was in different packaging. Weird, I checked the ingredients, and the ingredients were different. But again, being an avid tanner, I'm used to brands changing their formulas and packaging. I checked the website and the website is still showing the packaging I got on the first delivery. I did my first application with this bottle, 2 things, the mousse itself was a different colour to the previous bottle, much paler and when applying, it barely looked any different to my natural skin colour. However, the application was so much easier than the first bottle. I left the tan on for 6 hours and rinsed it off, I barely looked any more tanned but had faith that it would develop more overnight and it did. Again a lovely, natural looking shade, but I would not say it's a deep tan, it's definitely more medium. I moisturise every single day to keep my tan looking fresh. After about 3 days with this second bottle of tan, I noticed that this tan starts coming off in an almost speckled pattern. By day 4, you've got to scrub the whole thing off otherwise it just looks awful! I've found that both bottles of this tan makes the pores on my chest quite congested and the second bottle has made me break out in spots across my chest. Ive been using products to combat this and exfoliating before my tan as reccomened. I can get it cleared up, and as soon as I tan again, it's all congested and I start getting spots in the days after tanning.I enjoy how fast the first bottle dried down as I hate the feeling of a sticky tan while waiting for it to set. However, with the 2 different bottles being sent, which are quite different products I would not risk ordering again. I think the cons outweigh the few pros in this situation. I also do not feel that a tan lasting 3 days before it starts coming off to the point of having to remove it, is not worth the time spent on applying the tan. I'm spending most days pale, or speckled with a blotchy tan.I was initially reccomened this product via an influencer who uses the violet tan, one that isn't suitable for my complexion, so I don't know if that version is better than this one. Overall, a few months of being disappointed despite persisting through. Ultimately I will be going back to Filter by Molly Mae, as it's a tan I had used prior to this for around 4 years, it's reliable, easy to apply, has a great colour pay off and lasts well into 7 days before having to remove.

Love this tan. I always wear self tanner but after trying this tanner I've gotten so many compliments on my tan and on how smooth my skin is! Love it!

This completely enhances my natural colour and makes me look the way I'm supposed to. Since I don't get much sun due to laser treatments, it gives me a healthy glow and really boosts my confidence once the tan develops. I've been using Bali Body for around 10 years now and I'm so impressed with how the formula has improved over the years. I also use the cocoa tanning oil—10/10! Highly recommend

One week in and I'm genuinely impressed. The mousse texture is light and easy to work with — and the smell is surprisingly subtle compared to most self-tanners I've tried. No harsh biscuit scent, which was a dealbreaker for me with other brands. Applied with a mitt and a brush for more precise areas, and the result was completely streak-free. It develops fast, blends evenly, and gives a natural-looking depth rather than that obvious fake-tan finish. For anyone who wants a sun-kissed glow without the UV damage, this is a solid choice. Already planning to repurchase.

I'm a tan girl already so I was not sure if this was going to work at all.. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG!! This made me look effortlessly tan and it has such a natural look! It goes on so smoothly and is not streaky whatsoever so I am so happy!! If this is your first time considering self tanning (just as I was) this is such a great product! I just purchased my second bottle and am so excited to be using this again.

I love the color and the ease of application but let me tell you that you will feel sticky all day long. You’ll be gorgeous and tan - but your skin will feel sticky.

I would not recommend it. Other cheaper products work better. The only reason I gave 3 stars it’s a smell. That’s it. It’s recommended to shower in at least 4 hours after applying. So I applied. Wait for 30 mins until it dried, put my clothes on. In 4 hrs I showered, no sponge, just soap and water, as I wanted to go to sleep without that sticky feeling(yes it gives feeling like you have something on a skin). So shower, dried with towel, put my white sleep top on-it had the product on the same second. And the clothes I worn after application all went to laundry. I do not want to spent twice more money for the product that washes out totally after first shower.

It applies smoothly and the result can look quite natural.That said, I was expecting a deeper, darker result, especially after previously using the Deep Violet shade. On my skin, the "Ultra Dark" didn't develop as intensely as I had hoped. I've also noticed that the result can vary depending on skin type, on some it develops better, while on others it remains lighter. In my case, I needed to apply it at least 3 times to build up the depth of color I was aiming for.The undertone is also something to mention. Compared to the Deep Violet, this one came out slightly less greenish, which I appreciated, but still not as deep as expected.One small point for improvement would be the packaging. I've experienced some leaking around the bottle opening when shaking the product before use, which can get a bit messy. Improving the bottle seal or design would really enhance the overall experience.Overall, it's a good product with nice results, but with a few small improvements, especially in color depth and packaging, it could be even better.

I'm naturally fair and needed to tan for a wedding, the initial application was great, loved the smell and went on lovely, did take awhile to dry but I was happy with it. In the morning it had transferred onto my bed sheets again was okay with that. After a shower I had a great colour, then all I could smell throughout the day was tan, it made me feel horribly sick and had the worse headache going. 3 showers later (in the same day) I could still smell it. My whole room was smelling, I've never had any other issue like this before. Not great for a well known brand.
