A: I purchased this iron based on the answer to this question but after finding that it was accidentally left on all day in my home, I’ve discovered on Black & Decker’s website that this model DOES NOT have auto off. I would not have purchased if I had known this. Would not recommend due to the safety concern.
submitted byAP - 2 months agoA: Thank you for your question, Feng. This iron features a 3-way automatic shutoff. Movement usually resets the iron to begin heating but some irons have a reset button. Please note that the iron is still “ON” or in the standby mode until you actually turn it off and unplug the iron. The handle of the iron will remain warm since the iron is still drawing current and the electronics are still working (energized). Only the sole plate is cold.

A: Thank you for your interest. This iron does not have an on/off switch. When finished ironing, turn the fabric select dial to MIN and unplug the iron.

I received a used item, which I guess is the trend for target now. Dont buy online, your better off getting it at the store or ordering online from somewhere else. I am very disappointed in target lately, definitely not worth the price.

Non-Stick coating wore off immediately. For $10 it does exactly what it needs to do, but the non-stick coating rubbed off during the first use. All other functions work fine, but I wouldn't expect it to last one year.

You get what you pay for in the case of this iron. I filled the water tank only 1/3rd full, and as soon as I tipped the iron to use it on a garment, even without pressing steam or spray buttons, water came rushing out of both sides between the handle and the plate and theu the holes in the plate also. Soaked the theu to the iron board. Also, didn’t heat nearly hot enough to get any wrinkles out of brushed cotton garment :(
