Developed specifically for sensitive skin, the hypoallergenic formula is infused with soothing Aloe Vera and free from parabens, phthalates and fragrances. How to Use: Shake well prior to use. Apply liberally to dry skin 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, or at least every 2 hours. For topical use only. A: Hello! Thanks for reaching out. There are not any sunscreens that provide 100% coverage from the sun, so there’s a chance that you will still see the effects of sun exposure on your skin after being outside. And given that any tan indicates the body's response to damaging UV light, this isn't necessarily a good thing. However, our SPF 50 mineral sunscreens provide broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection to help protect you from the sun’s harmful rays and are formulated to protect you from 98% of UVB rays. We recommend that you apply your SPF fifteen minutes before going outside and to reapply at least every two hours (or more often if swimming or sweating). Thanks! -Blue Lizard Team

Caused rash on child following first use. The rash only showed up on places the sunscreen was applied - face, neck, and arms - so I’m fairly certain it was from this product. I should have chosen something else based on the reviews, but our typical brand of mineral sunscreen was out of stock. Do not recommend this!

So, I bought this a while ago and used it here and there with no issues (and no sunburns)! I was loving this product until now. My family and I just returned from a week long summer vacation in the desert where we all lathered this stuff on several times. We all noticed a mildly itchy rash, primarily on our arms, and I just made the connection that it must have been from this product. I’m so disappointed since everything else about this sunscreen was perfect for us. Again, no sunburns despite many many hours of sun time. It spreads so well and isn’t greasy or smelly. And, a little goes a long way. Hopefully the rash is only a problem with repeated uses close together. I’m going to continue using it sparingly.

I have used this sunscreen for years! It has always had a bit of a white cast, but has been the most effective sunscreen against sunburn I’ve ever used. I cannot get the recent formulation to work. I have burned multiple times this summer despite applying and reapplying correctly. I reapplied four times in a five hour period yesterday and STILL burned.

This sunscreen went on slightly thick, but absorbed easily and didn’t feel greasy or slimy. It had a normal sunscreen scent which I love. I also liked that the cap on the bottle changes colors when it detects UV rays, which signals me to reapply.

Bought this Blue Lizard reef-safe sunscreen for our trip to Hawaii, and all five of us hated it. It goes on like clay, is nearly impossible to blend, and leaves a harsh white cast. We ended up buying an overpriced bottle of reef-safe Hawaiian Tropic (the blue one), and it was so much better.

I read other reviews about a white cast when wearing it and they were not wrong. My hispanic boyfriend is a bit more brown than I am and he looked like he was doing white face. A lesson learned is a little goes a long way because it’s thick and I put on way too much apparently when spreading it and it didn’t blend in. It has 80 min water resistance and that sure works- I didn’t spend 80 mins in the water so when I got home to shower, it took a lot of soap and my moroccan glove to scrub it off and a layer of my skin. Worst of all, 3 hours at the beach and I didn’t tan because it worked so well in protecting me from harmful uv, which…is good and the point but I wanted to rid my winter yellow for my summer melanin. Overall, Im not tan but I don’t regret getting it and protecting my skin. I’ll just put less on and hope I can still tan and not have to scrub my sins away to get it off.

I wanted to like this brand because I read so many good reviews on it but it was not it for us. It squirts out when you open the cap; a white loose and watery like consistency. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that. We only applied a dime size amount at a time so it doesn't leave like a white residue on the skin. Overall, it is fragrance free!
