Q: How do you clean this grill?
A: You can heat your pan slightly, pour a bit of salt into the pan and rub with a paper towel. This should remove any burnt on food or oil. If this does not work, you may heat water in the pan on top of the stove for about 2 to 3 minutes to loosen anything stuck on. Once you have cleaned your pan, you will need to re-season it. 1. Put your pan in the oven at approximately (450°F-500°F)) until it turns back to dark blue or black. 2. Remove your pan from the oven and evenly distribute oil on the interior. This will help build an oxide layer, which will strengthen the nonstick and helps prevent further oxidation (aka rust). Tip: Use a high smoke point oil like vegetable oil 3. Heat the oiled pan again at approximately (450°F) until the oil starts to smoke. 4. Wipe off any excess oil and you can start cooking. ***Please always remember to use a pot holder when removing a hot pan from the oven*** After each use, simply wipe it clean with a kitchen towel or wash gently with a soft sponge and water; dry it thoroughly; then wipe a thin film of oil over the surface to protect it before storing.
