Q: How does it lock? I can’t figure it out?

A: Hello - We appreciate your interest in this item. It locks by using a pop-up handle that locks into place when lifted and pushes down to unlock and fold down. Something to stress you out
I can’t go any lower then a 1 star but I would of. We got this laundry basket and it has the worst wheels and omg the handle comes off quickly!!! I highly NOT recommended.

The wheel broke off within 5 minutes of use. This must be a in house type of laundry basket because it did not hold up at all

Wheels fell off!
The wheels fell off within a week of use. If you’re planning on being able to roll this guy around, definitely find another option. The awkward height of the basket handle also makes it difficult to roll the basket. Unfortunately kept the basket because it was unreturnable without the wheels and it works well as just a basket, but I was really looking forward to having one with wheels. Quite disappointing.

If you are a college student, don't buy this.
DO NOT buy this hamper if you are a college student. The plastic wheels cannot roll over small cracks and dips without breaking off. I have had to buy this hamper for a second time because the first one's wheel broke off and now the one I just bought had the same problem.

This item is no good. I bought it for my daughter to bring her laundry back and forth from college. The wheel broke off on the first use, it can’t be popped back on. I like it so I just bought that same one again for her. Exact same thing happened with the second one.
