I've owned a couple of these can openers and they do what is needed. However, be careful. Despite the dishwasher-safe claim, my second came out of the washer with the cutting mechanism totally rusted after arrival. I don't open many cans so it does the job just fine for a great price.

Cutting ability drastically reduced after several uses
