This gel is 10/10 !! My curls were absolutely perfect. I have fine 3B/C low density curls, this gel has high slip and feels very lightweight, exactly what my curls need. This gel provided solid hold in high humidity and prevented frizz. Highly recommend this product

It’s a very light hold and definition instead of a medium, and this may be better for wavy hair instead of true curls.

My hair doesn't get as curly as it does with other products. The waves it gives me do stay in, but I'd rather have a product that gives me more curl. I do use the air dry method so using heat could vary results!

Cantu Weightless Smooth + Hold Gel worked fairly well on my daughter’s curly 3C/4A hair type. Her curls were more defined and held up almost all day, not nearly 48 hrs as promised. This lightweight hold gel also made my naturally locked hair feel smoother and look less frizzy. The results were short-term for my dry hair. We both experienced noticeable white flaking. I love the pleasantly light (almost tropical) scent. This reasonably priced vegan gel is made with organic fair trade blue agave and has a thick consistency. It is easy to dispense and apply. I love the Cantu brand and will purchase this weightless gel in the future, as well as recommend it.

It holds the curls and reduces frizz but still leaves plenty of movement and bounce. It felt creamy kind of like a mix between gel and mousse. I slept in it and the next morning my hair still looked good enough to just go out in.

It doesn’t leave a residue that I can’t feel and it doesn’t make my hair feel stiff. I can actually brush though my hair when it’s dry if I want to and it doesn’t feel crusty. It might not hold my curls as well as a thicker gel would but I prefer the lighter weight more beachy look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I felt like my experience with this product varied over the different times and circumstances that I tested it. The first few times I tested it, I had longer hair. I felt that it was mildly effective, but I was not very impressed. The third overall picture shows my hair after it had dried with this product in. The picture after that shows how it held up after a night of dancing West Coast Swing, which is moderately active. In the later pictures, I got a haircut, and my enjoyment of the product completely changed. It felt defined and soft, and the refresh the next day was great! It is only a medium hold, so it did get a touch frizzy after I danced, but not as badly as it did with my longer hair. I applied what I felt was enough product in both situations, so maybe this just isn't the best product for long textured hair, but it worked well for a shorter style! Overall pro: it doesn't smell bad, so that is always a win with hair products!
