Q: Does this act as a hydrating moisturizer, as in I could apply this after cleansing? If not, are there any mineral based products that hydrate, contains spf 30 (or above), and doesn’t leave white marks (unless it fades) for my skin?

I think that this is typically for sun protection rather than moisturizing. or, you could use the Purito comfy water sun block SPF 50 for $15. I've heard really good reviews on it, it is fragrance-free and super lightweight, matte and doesn't leave white cast :)

I recently got a sample of this from my Dermatologist. She highly recommended it to me for my fair, sensitive skin. It's unscented, gentle on skin and rubs in/absorbs nicely without leaving white residue or a sticky, icky feeling. It works very well! I burn so easily. I used this once my face for a day on the lake and had zero burn! Very, very effective sunscreen!

I have a skin condition I’m allergic to the sun and I wear makeup. This is perfect for prepping my skin to protect me from the sun and keep my makeup looking good! It’s so hydrating for my skin is always shiny! Love the smell of this as well!

I think that it does the job, because it's been hot in Maine, and I've been walking the dog in full sun, since I started using the product a couple of days ago, and no sunburn. A couple of concerns, i.e., the tube is at most 2/3 full, more like half full; and the consistency is runny. Once on the face, it feels sticky to the touch all day long, thus, I would not layer foundation or tinted moisturizer over it. I will use the little that's inside the tube, but will not reorder. I love Cerave products, but this one is disappointing.

I have tried a lot of different face sunscreens and this one was probably the lowest on my list. It was not greasy or super pigmented, which is great. However, I had to constantly reapply and noticed really dry skin afterward. I spoke with my esthetician and she said this brand’s ingredient list is not good for skin prone to breakouts. While I didn’t get burned, I wasn’t happy with the overall use.

This is my go-to face sunscreen!! I don’t leave my house without it on to protect me from sun damage. It blends fairly well and doesn’t leave me looking overly ghostly like some sunscreens do! Love the quality of the ingredients.

Works in a pinch and on a budget. This is my go-to mineral sunscreen when I’m out of my preferred. It’s affordable which is part of the reason I got it, and also use their facial cleaners and have enjoyed them. No weird smells, lasts majority of the day, and doesn’t leak from the container. The reason for 3 stars is due to the heaviness of the cream and the texture it gives my skin after. It seems to sit on top of my skin versus moisturizing and absorbing. Also made me break out which is shocking considering I’ve used their other products with no issues. I’d still use again!

Just bought this the other day, and this sunscreen is so good. It protects my skin but you have to reapply because it is spf 30. It’s also a hydrating non greasy sunscreen.

I absolutely love the CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30! As someone with sensitive, acne-prone skin, it’s been a challenge finding a sunscreen that doesn’t clog my pores or cause irritation—but this one is perfect. It has a lightweight, creamy texture that blends in much easier than other mineral sunscreens I’ve tried. Yes, there’s a slight white cast at first, but it fades quickly and leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.

I have a medium skin tone (leaning light-medium) and I am so sad to report the white cast is terrible. Want to love it because it actually gives a bit of pore smoothing for me but the white cast is too noticeable even with makeup over it.

This is a non greasy sunscreen. It protects me in Texas. The sent to simple. I keep this near every day because of the hot sun. I like to protect my skin with the sunscreen.
