I think that this is typically for sun protection rather than moisturizing. or, you could use the Purito comfy water sun block SPF 50 for $15. I've heard really good reviews on it, it is fragrance-free and super lightweight, matte and doesn't leave white cast :)

Effective but oily
It’s super effective to reduce risk of sunburn, but the lotion itself feels extremely oily on my hands and on my face looks very shinny. It is fairly thick so takes a lot to rub in as well.

Love this product. It is very forgiving when applying layers. You can add more layers, and it is never too much. Applies light, looks good, moisturizes. Covers up my Rosacea pretty well. Couldn't be happier with a product. only wish it came in a bigger tube or a refillable tube and refill packets

White face after application.
I applied liberally per the instructions. My face was very white but I thought it would absorb or fade some. It did not so I wiped off a good bit. Won’t buy again

Day walker
Absolutely NOT. I took a chance in this sunscreen. I usually use LRP Anth**** SPF 50. I compared active ingredients of the products, and they were similar. What I look for in a sunscreen: mineral (my eyes are very sensitive and chem/hybrid make my eyes burn and water like crazy) Formulated for sensitive skin (I get orbital eczema so it has to be very gentle) Light texture and translucent (I use a 1/2 - 3/4 TBS so greasy feeling gives me a major ick) Cerave Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen for face IS a mineral sunscreen. It did not make my eyes water or burn, but that is where the positive attributes stop. This lotion irritated my eczema so horribly I had to rush home and wash it off my face and reapply my topical medication. The lotion is thick and greasy. It leaves such a prominent white cast that I was asked if I was a day-walker in a Blade movie. Objectively hilarious, but I didn’t need to be so violently dragged while ordering my coffee on a Sunday morning.

Works well but burned my eyes a little. Not great for sensitive skin and eyes. No white cast which is nice and no heavy sunscreen smell. Overall a great product

If I could give this less than 1 star, I certainly would! Left a horrible, greasy white cast that wouldn't even budge when I tried to wash it off. I do not recommend it whatsoever.

Awful
This lotion is terrible. It states on the container that it is "lightweight and non-greasy." It felt like applying paint to my skin. It took forever to absorb and my skin didn't feel hydrated. Don't waste your money.

Perfect Protection
I recently got a sample of this from my Dermatologist. She highly recommended it to me for my fair, sensitive skin. It's unscented, gentle on skin and rubs in/absorbs nicely without leaving white residue or a sticky, icky feeling. It works very well! I burn so easily. I used this once my face for a day on the lake and had zero burn! Very, very effective sunscreen!

I have a skin condition I’m allergic to the sun and I wear makeup. This is perfect for prepping my skin to protect me from the sun and keep my makeup looking good! It’s so hydrating for my skin is always shiny! Love the smell of this as well!

Tube half full, sticky, runny
I think that it does the job, because it's been hot in Maine, and I've been walking the dog in full sun, since I started using the product a couple of days ago, and no sunburn. A couple of concerns, i.e., the tube is at most 2/3 full, more like half full; and the consistency is runny. Once on the face, it feels sticky to the touch all day long, thus, I would not layer foundation or tinted moisturizer over it. I will use the little that's inside the tube, but will not reorder. I love Cerave products, but this one is disappointing.

Not a Fan Fave
I have tried a lot of different face sunscreens and this one was probably the lowest on my list. It was not greasy or super pigmented, which is great. However, I had to constantly reapply and noticed really dry skin afterward. I spoke with my esthetician and she said this brand’s ingredient list is not good for skin prone to breakouts. While I didn’t get burned, I wasn’t happy with the overall use.

This is my go-to face sunscreen!! I don’t leave my house without it on to protect me from sun damage. It blends fairly well and doesn’t leave me looking overly ghostly like some sunscreens do! Love the quality of the ingredients.
