CETAPHIL Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen is an ultra lightweight, 100% Mineral UVA/UVB filter sunscreen designed for daily use on the face. Broad spectrum SPF 50 reflects both UVA and UVB rays to help prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and early signs of aging due to sun exposure. The sheer formula was developed with sheer zinc to provide maximum broad spectrum protection in a serum-like formula that applies easily to skin. It leaves a dry, matte finish ideal for application under makeup. The non-greasy formula will not clog pores and is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested to be safe for use on the face. Formulated with soothing vitamin E to comfort the skin, this sheer sunscreen locks in lasting hydration to help prevent against the drying effects of the sun. I only wear this when I’m going to the beach because there definitely is a bit of a white cast, but it’s great for my dry sensitive skin! Doesn’t break me out and feels moisturizing, and I haven’t gotten burned with it.

This sunscreen is not sheer, especially when you apply the correct amountThis sunscreen is not sheer, especially when you apply the correct amount. I like this sunscreen for my chest area when I wear white, as it does not cause yellowing on my clothes the way organic/chemical sunscreens do. My skin is very light though, so keep that in mind. However wearing a foundation on top can work wonderfully for some lighter/medium skin tones.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this sunscreen! Even with it being spf 59, it had very little white cast. There might have been a small one initially, but it went away after blending it in well, and then completely disappeared after being on the skin for a while. For reference, I have a light-medium olive complexion that has a high yellow undertone and tans easily. I don't find too many untinted mineral sunscreens that don't leave a pretty bad white cast on me, but this one didn't.

This has become my favorite daily spf. I reach for it constantly. It is light and applies well under makeup. It does not leave my shiny or greasy as the day passes. It has no scent and does not irritate my eyes. I really wish they made a tinted version of this! I have fair skin. Initially there is a slight white cast but once it dries down it goes away for me. I also layer a tinted spf over it to even out my complexion and provide added protection.

I’ve been using Cetaphil products for the past 20 years, and with very few exceptions, it has treated my sensitive, acne-prone skin well. This product is one of those exceptions. I recently used this during a summer vacation (preceded by Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, aloe vera gel; and Cetaphil gentle moisturizer), and within a few days of regular use, my face started to breakout. I ended up with a giant, red pimple on the side of my nose and a whitehead by one of my eyebrows. Once I figured out what was happening, I stopped using this, and aside from the painful acne that had already formed, the rest of skin went back to normal, and I resumed my daily Cetaphil SPF 15 moisturizer, which as been my go-to for a long time. Fortunately, this product worked well for my wife and kids, so I’m giving it three stars, but I will never touch it again.

i really like the consistency of this, it’s like the beauty of joseon tinted sunscreen, but if that sunscreen did not have a tint. i was using it as a face and neck sunscreen but i think these are too thin for that; however, it is great for my combination, sensitive skin :) also no white cast, yay!
