The pair that should cut into hair to make smaller hairs to support longer seemed to simply cut off vs cut into. I would tread lightly with this pair and test first. The smaller pair is decent for touch ups. The comb is a nice touch too since you need a comb to trim properly. Decent price.

Don't bother
The regular scissors cut just ok, but the thinning shears did not cut anything. Aren't aligned so the blades don't even touch

These scissors are so dull that they are not useable. I didn't expect much out of this, given the low price, but the scissors are not functional at all.

Thinning shears
Thinning shears- Worked well (the end part) on my daughters thick hair. Not sharp but got the job done and didn’t cause me to over cut her hair. The scissors would probably be best for eyebrows or something small. I have a better pair for actually cutting hair.

The cutting shears weren’t really sharp. Had to sharpen them to cut well. I have thin, fine hair btw. Once I sharpened them, they worked okay.

Save your money
I needed some thinning shears and saw this little set and decided to try it out. The comb bends when you try to use it and the shears have no tension so they only cut near the handle if at all.

This is an awesome set! It comes with a comb, scissors and a layering shears which works really well for texturizing your hair and adding volume. Also these are a great size, they fit in my make-up case and can take them anywhere for any trims that need to be done on the go!
