A: The solar panel needs to be placed in the sun for a period of time during the day. At night, turn on the switch on the umbrella bone and check whether the connection is normal

Provides Shade, But Color Fades
We've had these umbrella shades for about a year now. We have the red color. Although the umbrella does provide us with shade, the red color has faded significantly due to sun exposure. We should've gotten the beige color, as it probably wouldn't be that noticeable. This is why I'm only giving this 2 stars.

Great Design, Unstable Stand
The umbrella appears to be of good quality and seems durable. However, the stand provided does not adequately support the umbrella, causing it to topple over. Additionally, upon first opening the umbrella, I noticed a tear at the point where it is supposed to be secured to the pole to prevent it from swinging.

Perfect for our space!
This umbrella is exactly what our outdoor area needed! I didn't catch that the base would require an additional purchase of a weight to keep the umbrella down so I wasn't able to use it right away. If I realized it wasn't included, I would have paid extra for a different umbrella that includes it. Otherwise, easy to put together!

Love this umbrella
This is the 2nd umbrella from Costway that I have bought. First one held up well, lights still bright after 3 years of use. I feel it is very sturdy and holds up well on breezy days.

I'm very pleased with this umbrella. It's plenty wide enough and gives a good amount of shade and you can position it to suit your space. The lights are a nice touch and worked great. It's not water proof as I've learned so it does drop water from the ventilation area at the top. The bright color I wanted was out of stock but the tan one was just fine.
