Cuisinart GR-300 Elite Griddler

bought this to replace a different brand that was going out on me. My cuisine art griddler elite is so much better! I can cook bacon, burgers etc. without grease dripping everywhere. The grease drip tray is large enough to catch it.My favorite feature is that I can set each griddle for different temperatures! That’s a game changer!! I highly recommend this product. I do store mine on top of my pantry cabinet-but because the complete griddle with the grills are kind of heavy-I store the grates in my lower cabinet and the griddler elite on top. It’s not a problem because the griddler elite is able to lock into position so it won’t compromise the latch that holds the grates.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Cuisinart to replace my old flattop electric griddle because I needed diversity i has every feature I like except a panini plate which I would have preferred because I like the grill lines they give when doing grilled steak or chicken other than that no other complaints.

I love my griddler. It’s so versatile, easy to use and easy to clean. I’m so glad to have it as an addition to my kitchen appliances.

Works great, can be better if the griddle can go flat for cooking on two plates.

This was a replacement for a much older Griddler. Now that there is a LCD display, it is much more user friendly. Easy to clean. Love it...

We love the Griddler Elite. The footprint is not too large and it does a great job with so many recipes.

Great purchase! We are loving the versatility of the griddler. So many ways to use it.

Being digital makes it nicer than our previous one. Being able to control each plate individually is handy. The fact that the heating wires are not exposed is one of the reasons for getting the upgrade. Oil from cooking can't get on the heating wires and burn. Being able to set the distance between the plates for cooking is really nice. All and all this is a great product.

Wow! I wanted to use the Griddler Elite a few times prior to giving my review. The Griddler Elite replaced a Forman grill that never lived up to its hype. What a difference the Griddler Elite makes in my kitchen. It is easy to use right out of the box. The plates are heavy due to the heating element being inside. But they are easy to install, flip over and wash. They are dishwasher save ONLY in the top rack. In my dishwasher it makes it difficult to wash them in, if I can only use the top rack. Having said that, they are easy enough to wash in the sink. Grilled chicken debris came right off with a soft rag. Also, burger detritus came right off even after being left on overnight! The scraper that comes with also helps in the cleaning. I love that the drip tray snaps in the back of the unit making it secure. It comes out easily and washes right up. The drip tray works wonderfully when the unit is closed and also when the unit is open. This was a major complaint with the Forman. Being able to individually control each plate (upper and lower) is a game changer! The temperature gauge on the front lets me know when the plates are at temperature with a soft beep as well as being able to easily read it on the front of the unit in digital form. By the way, there is a built in timer on the front as well. The side support allows you to keep the top plate from squishing your grilled sandwiches. It raises easily to make sliders or panini sandwiches. Here there is a little finesse with the top plate but it is not difficult. The Griddler Elite opens easily to a flat position which allows you to use it as an open grill. With the plates being so easy to switch you can use the flat side or the grill side. Steak or pancakes! You decide. Clean up of the unit itself was a breeze! Having cooked sandwiches, sliders, chicken and more I can't believe how little (if at all) the outside area of the grill gets greasy or dirty. What little there was just wiped off with a clean towel. Again, this was a sticking point for the Forman for me. Having said all that, the Griddler Elite is well worth the money! I have only one small sticking point. The stationary handle JUST fits under my top cabinets on my countertop. I have to scoot the unit out a tiny bit to make sure I can open it fully. Otherwise this is a perfect addition to my kitchen!

I have a small panini press, but I wanted one that I could put two Cuban sandwiches on without being too crowded. The Griddler Elite was my perfect selection. I try to buy everything Cuisinart because they never let me down and last four years. The plates take about five minutes to get hot but then they stay hot and I can cook two sandwiches every four minutes. So easy to clean, I just have to take a paper towel and wipe it off and it’s ready to go for next time. I would highly recommend spending the extra money to buy the Elite.

Works great, large enough for four chicken breasts. grill and griddle make it ideal for both meat and for pancakes. It is a little heavy so be careful when moving it. Very easy to clean.

Scary quick on some things...don't turn around... Hamburgers: 2 minutes on sear top and bottom...

We’re very pleased with the griddle. Great pressed sandwiches, grilled chicken, steak, chops, veggies! Only shortcoming is there are no waffle plates available for this model.

This was a great purchase. Controls are simple to use even for an old guy. We have prepared several paninis to perfection and I’m not sure that I will ever have a regular sandwich again. This is also a very hefty and appears well made machine. We have also cooked hamburger steaks during single digit weather and they came out perfect using included instructions.

Wore out my previous Griddler by using it so much. Looked at other brands but couldn’t make the switch after the great experience with previous Griddler. I like the digital display and timer built in. I heartily recommend the Cuisinart Griddler Elite - it’s simply the best you can guy!!

I love the quality and versatility of the Griddler! It makes awesome paninis and my grilled cheese sandwiches are a little bite of Heaven! Suggestion: when using different types of bread, be sure to keep your eye on the toasting, as a soft bread such as a brioche, will toast in less time. Enjoy!

This is a very versatile griddler. Easy to use, and it heats up fast. We made sandwiches, burritos, warm tortillas, and heat up leftovers in it. Clean up is so easy.
