Custom Cross Stich Passport Holder & Luggage Tag Craft Kit - Mondo Llama™

Kit was fun and easy to do! Looking forward to using the finished product over the summer.

Full disclosure, I meant to embroider one of the pieces before reviewing, but stuff got in the way, so I don't have an "after" to show yet. The kit is for kids, but I wanted to have a distinctive luggage tag, since so many bags look alike. The kit is well packaged, with good instructions full of pictures. I'm not sure how durable the tag will be, and if it will stand up to travel. The thread colors are medium tones and may not be everyone's favorite. They're neatly packaged, and tied, but difficult to unwind. The needle is large enough to thread pretty easily, and it comes with a threader. The passport holder looks like a bit more trouble to make than the tag, but the instructions are clear and the holes are a pretty decent size. If you have crafty kids, they'll enjoy designing the tag and/or passport holder. There's an address label & a clear window to use for the tag.

I'm not sure what to say about this item. It is interesting. I couldn't find any instructions on how to put it together. It would be a great project for a parent and child to do together. Seems a bit old fashioned to me.

This is a fun craft for an amateur and new cross-stitcher. I really appreciated the directions…it actually was a good start and offered enough guidance. I appreciate the color choices in thread, and the material looks pretty, but I don’t know if the quality will last in the wear and tear in travel. One complaint is the red thread seems as if it will barely be enough to complete the edges. I think they should provide slightly more than they currently are.
