Description
Leave the dirty dishes up to Danby's 18" ENERGY STAR(R) compliant dishwasher, perfect for small space living. This built-in black dishwasher holds ten place settings and one silverware basket. It has four wash cycles to choose from: regular, auto, intensive, and quick mode. The dishwasher is designed to operate at 51 decibels, which creates less noise and disturbance than the volume of a normal conversation. The delay start feature lets you pre-select the desired start time, so your dishes get washed on your schedule.

flimsy door latch
The first thing I checked is the door latch as this appliance replaced one the same size when the door no longer closed due to failure of a bit of plastic part of the latch, the spring fell inside the door. Hard to run a dishwasher if the door does not close. This one has an even weaker latch, the hook is flimsy brittle plastic instead of steel like the previous brand. I've taken a picture to show you, but this form won't Iet me upload it. I expect it will be one of the first things to fail. Also I find it hard to load, too many tines too close together. The cycles are interminable. There is a shorter cycle, P4, but it does not provide drying.

Small dishwasher
We decided to go with a smaller dishwasher when having our reno done. We are pleased with it. It is quiet and the dishes come out clean. The filter is also very easy to clean which is great.

Danby is the BEST!
After our Danby 18” dishwasher wore out after (fourteen years) I knew we would order an Danby again. Seems like there’s more room. Sleek looking sadly, wasted behind a cabinet door. We did have to install an outlet with the new model. Older was hot wired. No problem..easier for me to say My husband did all the work. 😄

Direct fit to replace old 18” dishwasher. Amazing how much it holds! Controls are straight forward and offer all the choices I need. Price was right! Installation done by a professional- recommended.

Need help
I got the dishwasher as a preset.Week wait, install it and F5 is popping up.And it's not working try and help could not get help.So this washer is sitting there.Not big news

Small But Mighty
Awesome for small kitchens or apartments. Very Surprised at the volume of dishes that can be stacked ! Very Quiet and dishes are perfectly cleaned. No smudges or stains on glassware.

The good, the bad, and the ugly
The good 1. It cleans and dries perfectly 2. It’s a good price compared to other 18” dishwashers 3. It has an adjustable top rack with two levels. 4. Customer service was quick to respond when my unit was delivered damaged. They offered me a fair discount for keeping the unit. The bad. 1. The control board can be unresponsive at times. Turing it off and on a few times fixes it. 2. The soap dispenser door is hard to keep closed you have to push down to get it to stay. 3. Customer service for warranty claims can take awhile to be resolved. I’m still waiting to hear back. 4. The packaging of this does not keep the unit protected. Mine came damaged and I had read multiple reviews on Wayfair of one’s having similar experiences. The ugly truth I wanted to fall in love with this dishwasher because it’s a solid dish cleaner but it’s ugly behavior has left me disappointed. It will hopefully last me a year or two till I can buy a better one.
