I enjoyed my 8000 BTU Danby for 7 years and if I'd taken more care with the condenser coil cleaning, I'm certain it would have lasted longer. I just purchased a 9000 BTU model as a replacement and look forward to the same satisfaction of the Danby products.

The dedicated circuit trips very often. When the unit runs for a while, in the middle of the night, the circuit will trip (as maybe the wire overheats). I am questioning the 9.2 amperage mentionned in the nameplate. Unit is also loud, compaired to another 10,000 BTU unit i have.

It definitely provides a cooling function but there is a very loud buzzing sound when using the cooling or dehumidifier modes. The fan nose I expected. Not the loud buzzing.

Would you mind ensuring the air filter is not dirty or blocked? Gurgling sounds are normal, and this is coolant moving inside the appliance.
