Q: Does it require exhaust or drain hose?

A: Hi Pinky, Thanks for your question! The unit includes both an exhaust hose and a drain hose. The exhaust hose is used to vent hot air out of the room while the drain hose is used if you choose to run the unit in continuous drain mode (typically for dehumidifying). Instead of collecting water in the internal tank, the moisture will drain directly through the hose into a floor drain or container, which is helpful for extended use. Regards, Jog

Great Air Conditioner
For small place this portable air conditioner is great.Room gets cool so quickly.Only one issue I think the size of the air conditioner is a bit bigger.Noses level is good too.

The Dandy overheats quickly and gets quite loud
During the hot summer days, I had to get an AC unit for my place, but this one rattled my entire 800 sq. ft. apartment. Not only was it so loud that it felt unbearable, but the plastic casing also got extremely hot. While the AC did cool the space enough to help me survive the 100-degree heat, it felt a bit dangerous for both my eardrums and my skin if I got too close to it.

Just purchased, only used a few times. One thing that needs to be improved is the clips on the vent hose, they are very hard to undo, had to use a hair dryer to soften the plastic so they didn’t break.

good solid unit
It's a behemoth, but quieter than every other floor unit I've had, and the de-humidifier function is amazing in and of itself in cooling high-humidity spaces by simply cutting the humidity. I find that It's easiest to keep the drain hose connected to a dish while it's on (for both cooling and dehumidifier). I empty the dish every few hours. It's easy to set up and I roll from living room to bedroom pretty easily. On high humidity days the dish can collect water really fast, so keep an eye on it!

Worth every cent
Extremely easy to set up. Instructions were easy to follow, took less than 15 minutes to unpack and set up. Remote is very useful for setting timers. Have no frame of reference for how noisy it is compared to other units, but a lot easier to acclimate to the noise than the absolutely intolerable heatwave we have had. I can sleep again!

Quiet and Does the Job
This product is not too big, like some other AC units I have owned in the past. In addition, it really is a much quieter AC. I would say the only thing is that I am used to higher BTU ACs, however this one does the job still while still being very quiet.
