Enjoy a comfortable home climate with this versatile Black and Decker 14,000 BTU (10,000 BTU SACC) portable air conditioner unit. Cools the air down to 61 degrees Fahrenheit, dehumidifies up to 90 pints every 24 hours, and circulates air with 3 fan settings to stand up to summer heat in rooms up to 700 sq. ft. This Portable Air Conditioner features easy-to-use LED electronic controls and is quiet while you sleep, 53dB on highest setting. Window kit includes foam seal, slider bracket, 5.9 inch diameter air exhaust hose, hose inlet and outlet, 2 locking screws and drain hose. Works in double hung or sliding windows only, no crank windows. To minimize noise and vibration, the air conditioner should be placed on a firm floor. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. Connect the duct and make sure it can function properly. Micro processor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 mins have passed. Thermostat range is from 61 degrees to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Includes easy to use LCD remote control (2 AAA batteries required for remote - not included). 115V~/60Hz. 1340 Watts. Annual energy usage 900 Kwh. Start up amps: 65, working amps: 12. 3 prong grounded LCDI/Type B. ETL safety certified. 3 Cool Speeds (High 247 CFM, Medium 212 CFM & Low 170 CFM. ISTA-6A packaging ensures safe delivery.

Q: Do you have to necessarily use the vent tube, or can you run it in doors without venting?

A: Hey there, The Black & Decker BPP10WTB portable air conditioner requires the exhaust hose to be connected during operation in Cool, Dehumidify, or Heat modes. Running it without the venting hose in these modes is not recommended, as it can lead to reduced cooling efficiency and potential overheating of the unit. Mans.io +3 ManualsFile +3 Mans.io +3 However, in Fan mode, the exhaust hose is not necessary. This mode circulates air without cooling or heating, so you can operate the unit indoors without venting. Reburbished?
Waiting to plug it in to ensure the oil has settled from shipping. However, this arrived with 2 remotes & no manual. The exhaust tube smells strongly of dead fish (offgassing/new product smells never bother me; this truly smells like something dead but there's nothing in the tube). The bottom foam inside the box was also crushed/badly damages. Hoping it works. 3 stars because I haven't gotten a chance to try it, but concerned this isn't a new item as advertised.

Perfect supplement
This is a perfect supplement to a whole house central air system that doesn’t make it to my bedroom. Unit works fast to cool a 12 x 12 room. Set up was easy. I like that I can open the top part of my window to allow fresh air in the house during the cooler days because this unit does not hog up the whole window. Unit is louder than expected but to me it’s white noise and helps me get to sleep.
