Extensive research and consumer testing goes into our product features, and our dish soaps are tested to be safe when used as directed. Since this scent is making you feel nauseated, we recommend that you discontinue use of this fragrance. If you're interested in an unscented option, we recommend our Dawn Free & Clear Fragrance-Free dish soap. When the soap scent lingers on your dishes, there could be a few potential causes for this happening. Over time, dish soap buildup can accumulate on dishes. Also, if you have hard water, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the soap and leave behind residue. For best results, add about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to the sink, then add water that’s 105-115°F. We don't recommend leaving to soak long term, but to wash promptly, and rinse the dishes thoroughly with clean water.
