Awesome product to wash dishes

It smells terrible now!! My husband and I were both gagging from the scent and he wasn't even exposed to it till the next day. It lurked in the sink the next morning. I ended up having to bleach everything to get rid of the smell! I don't know why these companies are over-scenting everything so much. When something's clean the smell should rinse out and it shouldn't have lingering odor in my opinion. Especially dishes! Who wants to eat food with the flower tinged scent!? I also wish they would quit changing products! I used to love this product, and "fresh rain" option, but it now smells like an old estate sale, or rotting flowers. I still like the smell of original Dawn Ultra, the blue one. I still like the product and the cleaning power I hope they don't change this one too!!

I loved the original Dawn. Unfortunately, the new odor of the new Platinum - awful. I'll be getting a different brand.

I refuse to use any other dish soap! Always reliable for my dishes and cleaning around my home. With two boys and my husband, we all make big messes. Great at getting difficult grease off of my casserole dishes, baking pans, and frying tools. The soap is thick, so a little does a long way.

I recently switched from standard Dawn soap to the Dawn Platinum and the difference is amazing. I definitely feel like my dishes shine a little brighter. It’s also sooo much easier to clean the dishes I wash by hand. Very nice product.

This dish soap is the best out there. Great price and would buy even if it was more. Tried and true trusted brand. I’ve been using for years!!

I've been buying nothing but dawn platinum for years now so you can find is scented they don't have just plain or original scented anymore and scented soaps stink when you wash dishes, what happened????

Changed fragrance recently and it smells awful - will switch to a different product. Have two bottles unfortunately of the new scent.

New change to scent is bad. Has a very disgusting chemical smell to it now.

Dawn keeps responding to these review assuring us, nothing has changed but on another site Dawn responded that there was a recent formula change. Clearly soemthing is different. Maybe someone dropped the perfume bottle into mixer. This product has a horrid smell that makes me want to puke and gives me a headache. New bottles went in the trash.

I stopped using Dawn in my Restaurant because of the scent change. Did they smell it before putting it on the shelves?

Ive bought this product in the wal mart store . And I must say its the best at cleaning everything . Down to the smallest stain I will always take faith in this product ability to clean some tough areas.

Good grief, this new scent is terrible! The smell lingers and can be detected all the way into the next room. Other reviewers describe it as overpoweringly floral, but I'd describe it as "dollar store sunscreen". I just refilled my dish soap reservoir a week ago but tonight I couldn't stand the smell any longer and dumped the entire thing. I absolutely cannot purchase this product again until the fragrance is what it used to be. Why reinvent the wheel, Dawn??

Please change the scent back to the original scent! The new scent is awful and smells like a cheap dish soap!!

Smells so good! Gets the job done well:) We’ve always used Dawn but this one smells so good!

I don't know if it is just the dawn platinum but I have a new bottle of Dawn Ultra labeled as 50% less scrubbing and the SCENT REALLY AN ODOR is horrible. I have paid for the bottle so I will use it but I am actually wearing a mask in order to use the product. Additionally, my dishes and pots keep the fragrance after rinsing: I waste so much water now trying hard to rid my dishes/pots of the new scent which lingers. Are Dawn developers crazy: They had the best product ever and as much as I would love to buy Dawn again as I always did I am afraid to buy another bottle due to the horrible scent/smell/odor and so now I have to look for a new product

I will try to be constructive here. I have been buying dawn platinum now for about 5 years. I have allergies and irritations related to Parfums as soon as I bought 1i stopped buying anything else. I had a soap that wasn't unpleasant and didn't irritate my senses. However we just bought two new bottles and I thought we had gotten the wrong kind, for a rain scent it has become very strong pungent and almost floral. After seeing some comments online it appears the formula has changed and other people are having issues as well. So as for now I'm searching for a new soap again. I don't want to wash dishes in perfume. I just want them to be clean and not have a chemical smell or leave a residue that smells like wet dogafter they dry. I just want a clean plate I can enjoy knowing is clean so I can enjoy my food. Before i found this soap I don't know how many times I've rewashed my dishes because they end up smelling. I really liked this product and I hope you can change it back. I understand you try to change and innovate you can't make everyone happy.

I have been cursed with a sensitive nose and that is the most awful smell definitely not refreshing at all
