Q: This is a comment. I was beyond frustrated when my daughter went to clean out the hamster cage with the new dawn and I got really sick. Autoimmune issues. We've used Dawn for all cleaning for 24 yrs. New scent is not working.

    Dish wash

    I really love this dish washing soap. This is very effective and works really good. It helps to clean all the dishes with less scrubbing and in very little quantities. Very easy to rinse off all the soap. Also it generates good amounts of foam to clean all utensils. Very effective on clothes stain also. Its bit expensive but last for longer period of time.

    Use it everyday

    Love love love dawn dish soap. It can be used on multiple things. We soap all hard to clean dishes in it, wash my dog, or I can clean my entire kitchen. When using dawn it makes everything smell very clean

    The soap is great. The "easy pour" lid is terrible.

    This dish soap is great. The "new easy pour lid" sucks. it is a large slot that can't be adjusted. It pours allover the outside of the bottle making a huge mess and coming out too fast. I have accidently wasted way too much dish soap because of this rediculous lid.

    Great soap

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There's a reason that Dawn dish soap is a classic, because it's great! It foamed up easily and made washing dishes easy. It even got through tough grease on pans as well. I'm not a big fan of the blue color, but the scent was pretty good.

    A general, ultra foaming cleanser

    Down is my absolute favourite dish soap! It’s incredibly tough on grease, and I only need a tiny drop to clean a whole sink full of dishes, which is makes it a great value for the money. I also love that it is gentle on my hands and doesn’t dry out my skin. It has a fresh, clean scent and works much better than other brands. I have tried. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable kitchen essential!

    Dawn dishwashing detet

    I will only buy this type of dish washing detergent due to it cuts through the grease like no other. I have tried them all. This dish soap will work even with cool water.

    New scent triggers headaches!

    As others have stated, I’d not give any stars if the option was available. This new fresh scent is far too overpowering, resulting in headaches whenever I’ve used it. Thank you Dawn for making the switch to a safer dish soap a necessity. Attitude dish soap works beautifully and has no repulsive scent.

    Horrible New Smell. A great product ruined.

    I’ve been using Dawn for at least a decade but will now need to switch to something else due to the offensive and oppressive new smell which never seems to rinse clean off my dishes and has caused my lip to swell up as though burned. The scent lingers long in the air after the washing is done and takes a lot of rinsing to get off your hands. Had to dump out a coffee as the only thing I could taste was Dawn after washing a cup in it. Even if I wasn’t worried about health issues and skin irritation the overwhelming stench of this offensive fragrance would be enough for me to switch. Much like P&G’s efforts to add fragrance to Ivory soap this was ill advised on the part of the manufacturer. I’ve seen articles suggesting that when manufacturers change to strong fragrance it’s to create a strong association of the product in the memory of the user and it certainly does that. I will now avoid P&G products as the memory of that horrible stink has burned itself into my memory, as well as swelling my lip. Your product testing was clearly bungled. I’ve seen the official denials about skin irritation and nausea. You might want to look into independent testing in future. I would return the unused portion but I think I’d better hold on to what’s left in case further health issues develop. I know there are alternate scents for Dawn, as I just went shopping, but trust is gone.

    We've tried other dish soap for years, especially when on a budget, but nothing has ever worked as great as Dawn. We use it for multiple other cleaning uses, and still by far the best out of the dish soaps and other soaps we've tried. You also can use a lot less with this soap than you do others, so, for us, with all its uses, winds up being cheaper for us in the end. I don't think we could go back to another dish soap now!
