Description
The Smart Fountain Mini holds up to 1 liter and continuously flows the water to aerate and reduce stagnation, the replaceable triple-layer filtration system ensures the water is fresh and odor-free. The ultra-quiet pump continuously pumps and the super-strong suction cups keep it firmly attached to the base. The light illuminates the water level so you can clearly see when it's time to refill, however, should you forget the light will change from blue to red as a visual reminder. The pump is designed to shut off if the water competently runs out to prevent it from overheating. It comes equipped with one replaceable filter that lasts up to 6 weeks of continuous use. Powered with an AC power adapter and 5’ft. Cord.

A: Yes, the filters listed on Targets website ARE compatible with this fountain (Dogness Replacement Filters for Smart Fountain Automated Pet Waterer - 3pk)
submitted byDrew - 5 years agoA: To clarify, there are two different Dogness filters listed on Target.com. The filters with model #80705551 fit both the Dogness Smart Water Fountain and the Dogness Mini Automated Pet Fountain. Filter model #82706808 fit the Dogness Smart Water Fountain Plus only!

Very Pleased
I took a chance and ordered this fountain based off of the one liter it holds. I am very pleased overall. I like the fact that the fountain shuts off when the water is low and the light changes from blue to red. It’s easy to clean and put back together. I was so pleased with my purchase that I ordered a second one.

Pretty good
So far so good. Have been using this for my cat for a few months. It’s holding up well. Easy to clean. She loves drinking out of it. The only complaint is if the water gets too low and it shuts off all the water drains out of the top through the holes. There is not a reservoir that holds some some water if it shuts off. Just make sure you are regularly refilling it and have a backup plan if electricity goes out. No leaking noticed. I leave it on a paper towel just in case since other reviewers mentioned that.

This is a great water fountain the cats love it but unfortunately it breaks within 2 months. The pump stops working and you can't buy a replacement for it which means you have to buy a new fountain. I tried reaching out to dogness but they don't return phone calls or emails

Works great...at first.
I had this item for 5 months. The first 4 months it worked great. The last month it decided to not work anymore - it would not circulate water at enough strength to form a fountain, and it wouldn't even circulate enough water to fill the little reservior. I checked the filters to make sure it wasn't clogged, checked the pump to make sure it was connected to the dish so the fountain would work, and re-attached and cleaned everything over and over again to figure out why it wasn't working. And then I tried to get in touch with the company for a fix or replacement and they never returned my email - and I sent quite a few emails. I really wanted to like this item because it was great at first but now I'm just disappointed. My cat really liked it when it was working and it was great to be able to see the water level but now that it's not working and the company has failed to even return an email, it's just something that will be going to the landfill because of course you can't easily buy a new pump for it. So very disappointed.

NO Customer Service by Dogness
There are 2 metal uncovered prongs sticking out of the motor that goes under water. I have called the maker Dogness, they will not return my call to tell me if this is safe to have exposed metal connected to an electrical pump underwater. Therefore, I will be returning this product. I am very disappointed. DO NOT recommend.
