  • A: I’ve tried both of these products: the HD powder in both sheer and soft luminance as well as the Halo Glow setting powder in light. I would say there isn’t much difference in coverage but there is a difference in weight. -Both HD powders worked really well with or without foundation. It has a desirable finish to the skin so it’s soft to the touch and my flyaway hairs don’t stick. Really lightweight in my opinion! -Halo Glow powder definitely has the illuminated shimmer that’s not really noticeable except up close. Much like the soft luminance HD shimmer, it gives that glowing appearance without actually being dewy. But it does feel a tad “cakier” leaning towards powder foundation to the touch. I find myself restocking on HD more than Halo Glow. It all comes down to preference!

    A close second to Halo Glow

    The translucent powder did leave a white powdery cast on my skin right after application, but it faded down quickly and did seem to keep my oily skin matte all day. It was super finely ground and didn’t cake up, which was great. You only need a little bit for your whole face. I would buy this again, but I tried the Halo Glow powder and that one was a little bit better in terms of a natural finish on my skin. But overall impressed with this one and would buy again if they stopped making Halo Glow.

    Why have I not tried this before!!

    Initially purchased in store for my daughter, but have just ordered another 2 for myself! I thought it would not suit my older skin but when I tried it, its beautiful. Powders often exaggerate my fine wrinkles. But amazingly it softens up my fine lines around my eyes and leaves a beautiful finish. I now use it everyday, even when im not wearing foundation.

    Would not buy it again

    IT CONTAINS GLITTER. I bought this and it was not that cheap for something that doesn’t advertise well. On the packaging it says it give a soft luminance but it contains glitter instead.
