A: The results on both are similar: creating a soft focus effect, and masking fine lines and imperfections. The Halo Glow Powder is available in shades Light, Medium, and Deep, whereas the the HD Powder in Soft Luminance is not shade specific.

A: I’ve tried both of these products: the HD powder in both sheer and soft luminance as well as the Halo Glow setting powder in light. I would say there isn’t much difference in coverage but there is a difference in weight.
-Both HD powders worked really well with or without foundation. It has a desirable finish to the skin so it’s soft to the touch and my flyaway hairs don’t stick. Really lightweight in my opinion!
-Halo Glow powder definitely has the illuminated shimmer that’s not really noticeable except up close. Much like the soft luminance HD shimmer, it gives that glowing appearance without actually being dewy. But it does feel a tad “cakier” leaning towards powder foundation to the touch.
I find myself restocking on HD more than Halo Glow. It all comes down to preference!

Nice . Use sparingly
This is a good light finishing powder to use over cream or mineral powder foundation. I use a large fluffy powder brush and put only a small amount on the brush. Then tap brush lightly over container. A very light dusting works best. I also use a fluffy fan shaped brush without powder to smooth and remove any loose powder before I lightly spray with water or makeup finishing spray from ELF. I am a pale 77 yr old woman.

Super lightweight and feels like almost nothing on the skin. It sets my foundation really well without making my face look cakey or powdery.
