Epson EcoTank ET-M1170 Wireless Monochrome Supertank Printer

Easy to install and I like the size.

Epson has it going on way above any of their competitors. Easy to set up, it prints very fast and does not smudge and skip like other brands do. The new ink bottle rather than cartridges is the way to go. No mess if you follow directions. The printer is at opposite end of house and always prints. I could never do this with the other H - brand. I love this printer. I will stay with Epson forever. I do not know what took me so long!

easy to set up and use. no cartridges

I have just bought this. Had it two weeks. Barely use it. Only on weekends when I have time. I want to study for an exam and print notes. Repeat error messages. It starts to print. Prints multiples. Then suddenly stops printing after 20 min of successful slow printing as I pick which notes to print.. Shows paper error. I put paper. Shows paper and ink error. It has new ink. I add a little more. Still shows error. I do all the common sense troubleshooting. Lookin que. Delete all. Do the auto trouble shoot. Says no error found. I turn if off and on. Unplug cables. I am doing off line direct usb printing. I never set up wireless. I do not want wireless. I am at my wit's end.

I am unable to use the printer as the ink bottle is not permitting me to fill the tank I am very disappointed and want tp return the item. How do I proceed with this

Not as fast as it says it is

This printer is exactly what I was looking for. Crisp black and white peinting with great grayscale. Economical in that it boes Not waste color ink when a black and white print will do. I would highly recommend this printer where color printing is not needed, which is 90+ percent of what I need.

The printer is great. BUT to be able to print from a guest computer or phone. You must install the drivers on the computer or download the app on your phone. This has been a major hassle when clients come to the office or we need to quickly print a file from your phone. If you have a dedicated computer for the office / home then this printer is great. If youre like me and hate dealing with so many steps and apps to get a file printed then this may not be the printer for you.

We all hate setting up devices. Usually the instructions fall short on something important. The Epson EcoTank was shockingly easy to get running. Masterfully automated set-up and design simplicity. This is exactly how printers and software are supposed to perform. Others take notice and design the same way. Although I've only used the printer for a short while, I recommend this printer for people tired of changing expensive cartridges and fussing with equipment.

Whilst I like the printer overall I was disappointed to learn that this model does not support the AirPrint feature.

It needs air print

Purchased this to print two-sided booklets for homeschooling using a MacBook. Macs and this printer don't seem to like one another. Although it prints regular 8X11 sheets on both sides for regular printing jobs, it simply will not print both sides when the booklet print choice is made using Adobe. The printer does a great job of printing in general, but this one problem is a huge one for this family. Booklets are when you print two pdf pages to a side ending up with four pages on one sheet of paper that are numbered correctly and easy to collate and bind.

I don't print often, and since purchasing this printer have only needed it three times. The first time was just beyond set-up, and it worked fine. The second time was within a week after that, and it worked fine. Three months later, it would not turn on let alone print. I read recommendations for quick-fixes, and none of them worked. Now it appears I have a paperweight, until I can find the box and send it back for repair or replacement. I think this model needs to be be revamped.

Setting up this printer was super easy and took less than an hour. The instructions were very clear on setting up but I had to look up information to see if the ink needed to be primed before each use or just when installing new ink. I set up via a wireless connection and had no issues the first few weeks. One day the printer stopped printing from my wireless connection. There was a update for the printer but even after updating i could not print over the wireless network. I had to uninstall the whole program for it to work again, very time consuming just for a update I am hoping this does not happen every time. Printing is a breeze but a bit loud for me. It prints very fast and clear drying quickly which is very convenient. The letters/lines are clean and evenly printed. Loading paper was simple but I cant figure out what the gray thing inside is. There are re-sizable guide for printing different size papers. The papers come out neat and do not push each other off the printer. I use the printer for printing documents and coloring pages. My documents come out looking clean and professional. The coloring pages are awesome because the black does not bleed and lines come out perfectly clear. I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest opinion.

I Like this product alot, the quality of the printer and the quality of how the printer prints is what I am looking for. I use this for work and it has held up through all my printing that I do. I only wish there was a screen on the front to put in a wifi password I have to use it hard wired.

The M1170 printer is very easy to setup and is done within 30 mins including priming the ink and setting up the wireless and registration. It didnt require me to connect any usb cables or ethernet cables or even enter the wifi password. Just fill the included ink bottle in the ink tank and hold stop button (inverted triangle in circle) for 5 seconds to prime it. The printer is very quiet unlike other printers and prints 6000 pages per tank. But the included ink only filled little over half way in the tank. But overall, no more expensive ink cartridges to buy. It was easy to setup Epson Connect but I had some trouble connecting to Google Cloud Print. Hence the 4 stars. My printer is the Epson ET-M1170, it is the best printer I have had so far, it has multiple benefits. Its size is ideal, it does not weigh much, nor is it very large, which makes it very easy to manipulate and more of us as women who complicate us when making connections. Its installation is super easy you do not need to do much just a couple of clicks, accept and ready, the installation CD does everything alone without needing anything, I loved the ink, your way of filling the tank is very easy, you do not get stains or have problems of splashing ink for your clothes, it really is one of the best printers I've had, when printing it does not make any noise it's very silent and what I love is very fast it does not take long to print, so if you have a lot what to print do not worry because in speed she is the best. I love that you do not need a lot of cable to use it, when you connect to wifi you can take it to your room, to your living room or to where you are working at the moment, when I finish printing register my printer to the Epson and I like it because I am aware of all the promotions and benefits that I have with my Epson. They inform me where to buy my ink to recharge. This printer is very economical so if you are looking for something quick, quiet and economical, this printer with its Ecotank is the best and the one for you.
