This mascara is great for the price. It adds a ton of length and volume with just a swipe. I find the wand picks up to much product so I would suggest wiping some off to avoid clumping. The only real downside for me is that it is extremely difficult to remove. I have had a little bit of smudging like halfway through the day but nothing super bad.

I was hoping based on the reviews, this mascara would be great, however it was only great on the first use. After that, the mascara got extremely clumpy and gross. I could not put it on my lashes without getting huge clumps stuck on the brush. Won't buy again.

The brush tip of this mascara is the exact same as the maneater by tarte and looks exactly the same!!! I wore the essence mascara in the picture on the eye with my finger pointing. then the other eye has maneater applied. it held up just as well without fallout during the day as maneater. big deal so you don’t have to pay 27$… 5$ is much better.
