FYI - no regular store sells gel nail polish. Read the signage in the store. Gel like finish, does not mean it's gel polish. For that you would have to go to Ulta, or buy online from a nail supply company. That being said, I bought this after one of my gel/UV cured nails (done at a salon) started bubbling. I've had enough trips to know how to remove gel safely. The color was an exact match, and you can't tell. I only applied 2 coats of polish, but 2 coats of top coat to receive the same shine. This will now be my go to polish, when I take my occasional break from the gel. In the photo, the thumb is the one polished with the Essie polish (still need to clean up the edges), all the others are gel/UV cured polish.

I now only buy Essie Longwear. I even tried Olive and June, and my O&J products would chip quicker than my Essie Longwear nail polish, so now this is the only brand of nail polish I wear!! I also work in a tougher environment on my nails, and my polish can go without chipping for a week! My only recommendation is, make sure you buy the Essie Longwear top coat for better/longer results.

Stayed on for 2 days then numerous nails peeled and chipped off. Followed all the directions and wasn’t too hard on my nails.

I love Essie gel but this color takes about 4 coats to be opaque and then it’s so thick it comes off so easily. The picture is from an hour after painting

Was supper excited to try this Essie color! Soon became disappointed when I noticed the nail polish had been used and about a quarter of the product was missing.

The polish is either old and separated, maybe I was sent an expired bottle. I’ve ordered Essie, this is a dramatically changed product (for the worse). It is thin, hard to balance, impossible to look nice - even with the best top coat.

I put this polish on a week ago and it still hasn’t chipped. That’s amazing.

This polish is the best nail polish I own in terms of lasting. I only have this one shade so I cannot speak to the whole line, but I have many other brands that do not compare to this one. I’ve had it on for almost two weeks and there are no real chips. I am rough on my hands and wash them a lot so this is pretty spectacular. The color itself is a great neutral with a milky look. My biggest complaint is I don’t see many color options that I like. Would love to see more oranges and more beige and medium grey neutrals.

genuinely the worst gel nail polish i’ve ever used

This is the best polish I've ever had. You MUST prep your nails first. It never chips. In 2 weeks the tips just wear off a little like a professional salon job. I'm extremely happy with this polish & top coat. Please read & follow instructions & it really works.

Soooo disappointed with this nail polish. Love the color and dry time but everything else is disappointing. I have had to repaint nails every day since putting this on a few days ago and using the top coat that is in the same line. It wore away and I used gloves to wash dishes. It also chipped which is more understandable but then one nail completely peeled off after a day. I’m so sad this didn’t work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how it dries instantly and the pigment is strong, it’s opaque. Packaging is a standout among my nail polish bottles, i find the design unique. This color is perfect for summer but I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 because I’m expecting the shade to be more blue green but I find it to have more green than a balance of blue and green. Other than that, the durability is good especially if used with the top coat, it will make it more long lasting.

With well prepped cuticles, this nail polish will last perfectly for well over a week. It’s pretty easy to remove, with a little more effort than regular polish but nothing crazy. However, this polish stained my nails so badly. You can see exactly where the polish was and the stain is not coming off even after multiple tries with nail polish remover. This was specifically with rock the runway (red). I haven’t tried other colors so I can’t speak for them but it’s definitely something to keep in mind!

I am blown away. I spend $45 on dip nails and they chip around 10 days and ruin my nails (if I peel off the dip). I am on day 7 with this nail polish and no chips! Saving so much money and also love the top coat as it makes the nails look like a gel manicure. Highly recommend!
