Cool but stopped working

The claw would intermittently not go all the way down or switch and not go all the way up. Pretty bummed. This could be such a cute and interactive toy if it worked!

The best part is that it has a volume control switch so you can easily turn the sound down or to turn the music off completely when it's time for quiet play. It's hours of fun and totally worth it!

Gift only Krampus would love
Bought this last year as a present and it worked for approximately five, gentle turns and then the claw action irreversibly quit operating, except for the lights and sound. This was after an adult, who was specifically careful with the controls had 5 turns. The wires in the top of the machine got caught up in the track that the chain arm runs on. We exchanged all the batteries *three times* with brand new batteries to ensure it was not due to lack of power. Extreme waste of money, even after waiting on the sale to spend $26.24..Do not let the avalanche of paid promo reviews from 10/25 sway you. The material it is made from appears sturdy, but the wiring and irreparable, inner design flaws make it ultimately useless and a terrible gift that only serves to take up valuable space in your garbage can after Christmas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great novelty toy. But if im being honest, the small kids I have at my house got bored of it within a week. Super cute idea, and they loved it at 1st. Already assembled so there were no issues there. I wouldn’t be able to justify the amount of space it takes up for the amount of time they actually wanted to play with it. It’s one of those things where they will more than likely go through repeated phases of loving it for a short period of time and then forgetting about it when bored of it just to rediscover they like it a few months down the road.

The packaging is tight and protected so a little frustrating getting the plastic out but once it’s done it’s good to go! It does need batteries though! It has a little hole in the back so you can play again and again and it also comes with toy coins so they can insert the coins so the machine turns on. It lights up and makes sounds. Totally worth it!
