Fellowes® Breyta™ Ergonomic Laptop Riser Stand (White)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop stand is easy to pack and unpack to take along with the laptop when I need to travel, but it is awesome for elevating the delicate computer equipment up and off my sundial production work table which gets very dirty while I work. It took me a while to get used to using it, but now it's second nature and it takes care of an important piece of equipment and makes it possible for me to have computer equipment on my work bench. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop stand is easy to use and folds up very compact, lightweight and easy to fit into a backpack sleeve with the laptop. The different settings allowed for proper ergonomics no matter what height the user may be. I also liked the option to adjust the heights depending on what workspace I was using. One note if you're using the stand on a higher setting so that it is at eye level, it makes it awkward to type so a portable keyboard makes this much easier. I received it free as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest opinion. It's a really simple, compact laptop stand. It's not trendy looking. The one I have is a basic cream color. There's something about the plastic that I don't love, probably what makes it sturdy yet light weight. It was very easy to set up and adjust. I wish my laptop opened to a wider angle- that does limit how high I can set it. If you plan to use it for working at various locations, keep in mind that the instructions say you must use an external keyboard and mouse, not putting any pressure on the stand. So, you'll need to carry around as well. It's definitely made my work from home set up more comfortable!

It's quite compact and lighter than I expected, but still seemed stable enough to put my somewhat large laptop on. Since I'm not used to working with a separate keyboard, I wasn't sure how I would feel about this stand. However I do think it makes ergonomic sense for my posture to have the laptop screen a bit higher and use a keyboard that is directly on my desk. It was fairly easy to set up. Because it folds down to be so slim, it's very easy to carry around. I liked how slim it folded up to be so if I'm traveling I can easily carry it with me. I think solid white would have made this product look more sleek. I appreciate the versatility and different height adjustments. Setting up the stand for the tallest height, would be best if you had a separate keyboard to use. Even at the lowest height and angle, I did find some wrist fatigue set in. However, a pad to rest your wrist on could help. I like how compact and slim it folds down to. Making it easy to stow in your laptop bag, or backpack, briefcase, etc.

I was happy to try out the Breyta Laptop Stand. I use my laptop daily for work and found that the Breyta Laptop Stand made the screen at a very comfortable level for viewing. One thing that I like the most is that the stand folds up to a very compact size. It easily fits in a bag or backpack to take a long with you. It also has a simple sleek design. It's not bulky but still feels very sturdy. When I first received the stand, it took me a few minutes to figure out how is unfolds to turn into a stand, but once I got it the first time, it was simple to do. A few things I don't like as much are the options for the angle of the laptop. I put the laptop stand on the option where the laptop sits the most level to the table. That is the right height for me. I am a short 5ft so for many, they would need to use one of the other options that has the screen higher. When you set up the stand so the screen is higher you also need to open the laptop so the screen and keyboard are at the widest angle. I would prefer the height of the stand could adjust while keep the laptop more level. The way it works has the front of the laptop lower and the back higher. On the stand setting where the screen is the highest I have to open my laptop as far as it will go which I don't really like. Over all the stand is light weight, sturdy, compact, and does a nice job of bringing your laptop screen to eye level.

One of its standout features is its compact and collapsible design, making it incredibly easy to store away or take with me when I’m on the go. The minimal aesthetic works well, though I’m not particularly concerned with its appearance since it’s mostly hidden by the laptop during use. However, for those who do care about looks, it maintains a simple, clean look that fits in well with most setups. In terms of quality, I found it satisfactory. I didn’t encounter any issues with the construction, but the plastic material does seem like it could be prone to damage if handled roughly. This might be a concern for those who need a more robust stand for everyday use. The stand offers two positions and multiple angles, and while I appreciated having that flexibility, I found myself favoring the shorter position and it's "flattest" angle, which still felt somewhat steep. I would have preferred if it offered one or two additional settings for a lower incline. Despite this, the ergonomic design did help in raising the laptop screen to eye level, which greatly improved my posture and overall comfort during long work sessions. Setting up the stand was quick and intuitive, which was a plus. Its portability is definitely one of its best features, especially for those who travel frequently or work in various locations. My overall rating would be a 7 out of 10. While it has many positive aspects, the lack of smaller angle adjustments limited its comfort for me.

It does allow my laptop to be at the correct viewing height; however, it is not comfortable to type with the laptop in the stands for extended periods of time. Its versatility and ergonomic design made sure I had the best setup for every situation. Even though its made of plastic, it provided sufficient support and resilience to support my laptop which eliminated any fear of it collapsing. I love how this stand’s lightweight structure makes it a no-brainer to carry around and use, it definitely adds to the productivity of my workstation without feeling like a hassle or extra thing I need to worry about.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is not for me. I use the trackpad on my MacBook a lot and this stand makes it very uncomfortable to do so (I edit pictures). Yes, I could just add a keyboard and mouse to my gear, but that then defeats the purpose of it being so slim and easy to carry (as I'd be adding more to the things I need to lug around). With that being said, it is very versatile when it comes to height and it's lightweight and definitely portable. It could easily be added to the laptop carrying bag (if you're not carrying anything else that is). It is very easy to set up and fold away. I'll keep it for my husband, who does a lot of reading for work on his laptop and will probably benefit more way more of it as it definitely helps with your posture while using it. I love that the stand folds up and I was able to pack it easily to take with me on a company retreat this week! The stand is my CB more narrow than my previous one which saves space on my desk and can sit closer to my second monitor. The folding part of the stand takes a little getting used to but I appreciate that it is compact. There is one small drawback to the stand which is likely an overall helpful design feature, but I find slightly annoying. The lip that holds up the laptop prevents the laptop screen from closing all the way without having to move the stand to accommodate the screen closing. All in all, I’ve been happily surprised with the Breyta laptop stand and plan to continue using it.

It folds flat and lives next to the laptop in my backpack, is easy to set up and, so far, has remaqined clean. I wonder about the strength of the protrucing piece of plastic and whether or not it will hold up to repeated use - but so far, so good. It's helpful having my laptop a little higher up and tilted when it's on the stand, preventing neck strain. When I first used it I was a little nervous about it supporting the weight of the laptop, but there haven't been any issues, I just need to get used to it and trust it. I would recommend this laptop stand. I appreciate that they note that the product and its packaging are 100% recyclable, and they have a takeback program in Canada & Australia. It's roughly 9"X10' size and thin profile makes it easy to include in a laptop back when traveling. Simple to ease neck strain by folding out the flap at the back to get 6 different heights or folding up the front flap to get 6 more slightly different heights. I would like to see the edge of the front flap extend a little further for holding the laptop. Curiously, any measurements mentioned in the directions are in metric only.
