Q: I know it says box spring not required, but can I use a boxspring if I'd like?

submitted by AnnetteH - 13 days ago

  • A: Hello, Thanks for reaching out regarding the Ruched Platform Bed. Yes, you can use a box spring if preferred. We recommend removing the slats and using the metal frame with the box spring. We hope this helps you create your preferred bed setup. - Allen.

Q: What is the recommended queen mattress height for this bedframe?

submitted by Slf - 1 year ago

  • A: Hi Slf - Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your interest in Ruched Platform Bed. A mattress between 10 and 12 inches thick is generally recommended for platform beds to balance comfort and durability without making the overall bed height too high. I hope this helps - Emma

Cute bed, wrong/missing parts and terrible service

The bed itself is very very cute. Seems good enough quality, the problem is it’s not as pictured. Like another reviewer mentioned, the black legs are visible. Which alone isn’t a problem but it’s about 6-8 inches of visibility on the bed we received which doesn’t look good and my daughter could actually slide through it. Although this is a target threshold brand item, they’ve had to contact an outside vendor to fix every issue including the instructions that were missing from the box. Contacting the vendor takes 1-2 business days minimum. Id save the money considering the item isn’t cheap and it’s been an unfortunate and frustrating buying experience.

Horrible service and quality.

This is a miss on Target. First, I received the wrong item. Target has two of the same name items, the only difference is the headboard size. Check before purchasing. I purchased the one that sits flush against the sides. Received the wrong item priced lower than what I paid. The description is nothing like the item received. The slats are poor quality. The mattress sinks in without leaving any room to actually make the bed. There’s barely inch poking out, mind you this is standard size mattress. The description says box spring not needed, you absolutely need it if you want to actually tuck in your sheets. Oh and the instructions do not match the item received. The headboard is missing holes where screws go. This is getting returned.

AMAZING

Was I a little hesitant spending $900 on a bed from target? Absolutely. But ohhhh was I proved wrong because this bed is BEAUTIFUL. I bought the full size in Whitaker gingham berry for my four year old’s room and it is perfect. Pros: - packaged extremely carefully/well - excellent quality of fabric/construction (at least for mine), no loose threads or faulty seams - colors are more beautiful in person (the pink looks a tad brighter online than in person IMO and I actually prefer that it’s slightly more muted tones in person), this is a beautiful statement piece in both the style and gingham pattern itself - relatively easy to assemble, easiest with two people - sits low to the ground which is nice for a four year old to get in and out of (also not a far drop to the floor if one falls out at night lol) Cons - I did buy it full price so it stung a little when it dropped to the 700s (after the window for price adjustment closed) - because of how the metal piece attaches the headboard to the rest of the bed, I couldn’t find a way to fully get rid of the slight gap between the headboard and the rest of the frame, no matter what I did. Not a deal breaker, just wish it would sit flush - I think the black legs cheapen the look, I wish they were wood or a faux wood, but maybe that’s just personal preference - took a month to ship, so if you need it right away, that won’t be happening All in all, I am absolutely pleased with this purchase. I expect it to last basically forever based on the quality. It’s so so beautiful in person
