Q: The consistency for this was very thin, liquidy, very different from past Gains I have bought. Did anyone else notice this?

  • A: We haven't made any recent changes to the formula, so you should see the same consistency that you're used to. However, if the liquid was stored in somewhere extremely hot (such as a hot car, or in direct sunlight), it may cause the liquid to become thin. Great long-lasting scent, gentle on skin, and the liquid form dissolves clean in cold water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gain Original has been my go-to for a while now. The scent is the big draw — clothes come out smelling fresh and it lasts through the week in the closet, not just the first day out of the dryer. It’s gentle enough that I haven’t had any skin irritation from towels or shirts, which was an issue for me with a couple other brands. Fabrics come out soft without feeling coated or waxy, and colors have held up fine over repeated washes. Performance-wise it handles everyday dirt, sweat, and food stains without pretreating, though really set-in stuff still needs a little help. The liquid form is easy to measure with the cap, dissolves fully even in cold water, and I haven’t dealt with residue or clumping like I have with pods and powders.

I love how well it cleans my clothes, especially my blacks, as it's hard to find a laundry detergent that doesn't fade black clothes!! Don’t need that much to have a good wash . My clothe feel good other then other brands that make my clothes feel weird after which it didn’t . Definitely recommend

Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the past, I’ve been hesitant to use liquid laundry detergent because I was worried about using too much and ending up with detergent buildup on my clothes or in my washing machine. However, I’ve been using Gain liquid laundry detergent and it has been working very well. My clothes come out clean and the scent is pleasant without being overwhelming. I haven’t had any issues with residue, and the detergent seems to do a good job on every day laundry Overall, I am happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a liquid detergent that cleans well and leaves clothes smelling fresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy with Gain Original! First of all, the packaging is super sturdy, no leaks at all, and I love that is has a good handle. It’s the perfect size for my home, not huge bulky bottle that takes up your whole laundry shelf, but big enough to last me a while. The smell is just amazing. My whole laundry room smells incredible when I do laundry. I open my closet and I can still smell it. It cleans really well too, no complaints at all.

This is great laundry detergent !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gain Original Liquid Laundry Detergent performed great for cleaning my clothes. It dissolved into the water fast and rinsed out well. It comes in an easy to pour spout. The only thing I didn’t like is that it the consistency is thin - thinner than other laundry detergents - so on my initial pour, way too much came out!! Ooops! Lesson learned, but I do prefer it to be thicker!
