Great battery life….great watch!

I was looking for a watch that had a brighter display with a longer battery life. I found that in the Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED watch. Even with notifications on, the 15 day battery life is outstanding. Support from Garmin has been over the top! Having a issue with the watch, receiving superior guidance my issue became resolved. This is my 3 rd Garmin watch, and they get better with each new product they introduce. Keep up the great work!
Pretty complicated to get started

I like the watch a lot, and some of the features are intuitive, but a good deal of it requires mastering the navigation of menus which I've not found to be easy.
One drawback

I have had this for a couple months now. I like it except for one thing and that is that the screen doesn't light up all the time when I turn my wrist to look at it. I know I can set it to display all the time but I believe that uses battery faster.
Better than a Instinct 2X Solar, but...

This watch is aesthetically awesome, and the screen is better for me with its AMOLED option. Although this watch still does not track my sleep 100%.That same issue was present with its predecessors (Vivo Active, Instinct 2X.) The nap tracking is an added benefit, but it does not ease the frustration of missing sleep recording. Also, it seems silly to have phone call notifications that you are unable to answer, as this watch does not have a speaker or mic. Overall I do recommend this watch, but there are room for improvements.
Cool watch!

I got tired of having to charge my apple watch every day so I saw a Garmin watch and saw some pretty good reviews, a bit spendy but you get what you pay for so chose the Instinct 3 Amoled, I liked the smaller sized one, oh my gosh what a sweet watch! I charge it every 16 days or so, it can do more than I need but that's ok. Takes a little to figure it all out but it is getting easier. Watch face is so clear and easy to read even in direct sunlight and very customizable. It even has a flashlight which I thought I would never use but seriously use it daily, super handy. I do recommend this watch
Sleep app need to software update big time

Just to be clear, I love the watch! Amazing for tracking data but the sleep reading is never accurate, never! Starts tracking at least 2 hours after I actually go to sleep so because the sleep is shorter it keeps thinking you need recovery and it starts affecting readiness score and body battery and stress, is so bad that I’m thinking to buy another smartwatch just to teach the sleep accurately… Please is this can’t be fixed do it, it’s a very big downside despite the fact that is an amazing watch.

I purchased this watch several months ago. It is a solid watch! I use it for workouts. I have my work out schedule programmed in it. It also helps me with my sleep habits, ox level, and steps. I use it for work. The flash light feature and compass pays for itself. I also like the buttons on it. All the usage is completed by the buttons and not using your fingers on a screen which create smug marks. Good job Garmin!

I’ve owned several expensive watches so far the Garmin Distinct 3 45 MM it does so much and it is so lightweight you don’t even know you have it on the battery. Life is great. The features is great and it connects with the iPhone and just seconds so far I give it to Garmin over everybody else, thank you, Garmin.
Not worth the asking price

I love the watch but the limited capabilities such as missing maps it’s not worth it. The forerunner even the 945 might be a better option. More features is needed in this watch.
Problems with Golf Activity Feature

I like the Instinct 3 Amoled, but my experience with its golf activity feature is subpar. Specifically, since the watch does not have preloaded golf courses, courses must be download to my IPhone using the Garmin Connect app. I downloaded my home course, but the course map is seriously outdated, so the map is useless. (Curiously, it seems that the current map for my home course is preloaded on the Garmin Approach 12 watch.) And, of the half dozen or so courses that I have downloaded using the Garmin Connect app, the watch doesn’t find the latest course that I’ve downloaded. The user manual seems to recognize that there is a problem with the watch not always seeing a downloaded course, and suggests several possible fixes, but none of the suggestions fixes have worked so far. Quite frustrating and disappointing, So I am giving the golf activity feature of this watch a triple bogey score.

Please make sure you have the most recent version of Connect on your phone. I'd also recommend syncing your watch with Garmin Express on the computer. If you haven't used Express, you can download it at Garmin.com/express. If you still see errors on your local course, please report those to our cartography team using the form here: http://ms.spr.ly/6421sKvfb »CP

Love the fact that i get the instinct feel to this watch BUT can change the watch face and the AMOLED screen is phenomenal! So crystal clear when i get any notifications on it! The battery life is also a great thing not having to charge for 2 weeks and i get lots of notifications every day!

Was sick of having to charge other smartwatches on a daily basis. This watch kept me connected with call, message, and notification alerts while maintaining extended extended battery life, sometimes going over 40 days on battery saver mode! Also paired with my employers wellbeing app so I could track steps, workouts, strenuous activity, sleep, and other activities to earn credits towards insurance premium discounts. As an avid outdoorsman, this watch has all the functionality I could ever need. I regret not getting this sooner.

So I’ve been without a smartwatch for over a year since my last one broke on me while at the gym. Missed tracking my workouts and seeing data on my workouts so I opted for this Garmin. Right off the bat it has provided some cool features like sleep optimization and coaching suggestions for better rest. My old watch would have to be charged almost daily and this one hasn’t been charged for over 5 days and going with heavy use. Now, it does take a bit of a learning curve to get used to the buttons over touchscreen.. there’s no frills to this watch just pure technical use and a sturdy design. It’s surprisingly light, great waterproofing which makes cleaning it super easy in the shower and I guess more hygienic in the long run. The torch feature is hands down the most jarringly useful difference when I don’t have my phone on me and I’m looking for things in the morning. Wish the screen was touch, but other than that this watch is amazing for those who just want a sport watch without the extra bells and whistles. Simple and effective!
All around great watch, but….

Overall, I found this watch to be fantastic. Love the features that come with the watch( even though they don’t differ very much from the last 2 generations of Instincts). The new watch face designs are great. I think the amoled screen is a great addition. The watch seems to be very durable, until you get to the screen, or what Garmin calls, reinforced glass, Big deal breaker for me. The watch I received, was deeply scratched on the face and that turned me off immediately. For the price point of this watch, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for sapphire.
Great watch!

I truly enjoy my watch. I transitioned from an Apple Watch to the Instinct 3. However, the only downside is that the elevation feature has stopped working and consistently displays 0. I have cleaned the watch and checked the sensor, but nothing seems to fix the issue.
I love the whole concept of it…

It looks good and easy to operate, but main 2 issues that I have are: 1. I have it about 3-4 months and the battery life already getting shorter. 2. heart rate monitor sometimes wrong, for example can show 130 when it is actually 70

I've had my Instinct3 50mm for a few months. So far this watch is performing better than expected over my former Apple Watch Series 8. I needed a watch that was simply better built and tougher than my Apple was. I'm retired and do a lot of farm and ranch work...beats up a watch pretty quick. The ruggedness of the Instinct3 has delivered in every instance (not a scratch yet). The battery life...game over Apple! The display is easy to read in sunlight or shade. I get the same health related data and a little more on my Instinct3 than I did with my Apple. Workout data is easy to view and track as well!! Overall this is just a better product for me than Apple ever produced. Thanks Garmin, well done indeed.

Scratches easily, battery life was terrible. Added nothing of value over the instinct 2x, which I bought after selling my 3.
