GE Appliances 2-Slice Toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the sleek design,which could work nicely with any decor. The varied selection options are exactly what we need. My test run went very well. It toasted everything very nicely. We use Deli-style bread quite often; and the opening was adequately wide enough!

I have tried and purchased many toasters in the recent past trying to find a good one. By far, this GE toaster is the best! It toasts evenly and is very easy to use. It is also very attractive and fits in with my kitchen decor beautifully. Thank you GE!

At last, a toaster does what it's supposed to do. Nice looking, compact, toasts evenly. It seems obvious, but we've been through too many toasters that just don't do thier one job. This one is a winner and I'm hoping it lasts a while!

We love our new toaster. We were using our toaster oven but it took a at too long. This toasts perfectly with the useful controls. It's pretty stainless steel and even toasts either two piec a of bread or two bagels. We are very happy with it.

First toaster I’ve ever owned. Pretty and functional design. First couple uses have been great. Just enough features to get the job done. The lighted buttons when in operation is nice too.

Seems to meet my expectation I will need more experience using the toaster to provide a meaningful evaluation

Wide slots, light up buttons, shiney 'chrome ' exterior are appealing. .. most importantly is performance and price factor. Happily satisfied with both.

Just received the toaster today. Made toast. Fantastic. My old toaster kept blowing up. It appears that this one is gonna do the job make toast love toast, love GE got the beautiful two sliced toaster fits well on the cabinet. Looks nice and welcome addition to our home.

Seems okay out of the box. Need more time to confirm if it toasts evenly. No “single “ slice control. Uncomplicated versus the old electronic cuisinart we had.

It seems to toast on one side, but has good features.

There's only so much one can write about a toaster but I've found this unit to (so far) be reliable, performant, and of decent build quality for the price. My main criticism is I wish this unit had a digital countdown timer instead of an analog wind-up dial. Overall I am satisfied with this unit.

Beautiful looking on our counter, perfect size for bagels and home made bread. Makes perfectly toasted bread and works on both sides at once. Perfect size for the two of us. And what I secretly really like is the ease of simply pushing Cancel to bring to toast up instead of struggling with the lever.

I purchased another GE toaster because the one I had before worked for over 20 years. Unfortunately, the quality of this new one isn’t the same . . . After a month of use, I have found it does not toast consistently. With 2 slices of toast, the toast is more well done towards the back (away from the buttons) and lighter towards the front. With 1 slice of toast, one slot toasts darker than the other. This is without changing the controls.

I love everything about this GE stainless steel 2-slice toaster, except I’ve yet to find a consistent shade of how brown the toast gets. I don’t want it super brown, but I do prefer some browning. There are 7 shades of browning to select from, & I’m still trying! Another issue is only 1 side browns, but the other side does not. I remember reading reviews before my purchase, & other people had this issue of only 1 side getting brown. I like the width of the slots; they are plenty wide. The length of the slots are also a plus. The toast pops up with plenty of room at the top to get it out without having to use small, plastic tongs. I like the lighted options of Cancel, Frozen, & Bagel. The control knob is sturdy b/c the setting clicks into place when you choose the shade of browning. The lever to lower the bread is also sturdy. I don’t have to press it several times for the bread to stay down.
