Not only does the Hamilton Beach® Sleek Stainless Steel 2 Slice Toaster have a modern, upscale look, it's designed with Sure-Toast™ technology to ensure your toast has balanced color and texture on both sides of bread, even when toasting a single slice. Simply push the 1 Slice button. The toaster has 2 wide slots to easily toast a variety of breads, from bagels and thick-sliced artisan breads to English muffins and waffles. Bread guides hold each slice upright and centered within the slot, so bread is evenly warmed and toasted by the heating elements. The bagel button toasts the cut side of the bagel and warms the outside for perfectly toasted bagels every time. The cancel button lets you stop the toasting cycle any time you want, while auto shutoff automatically turns off the toaster at the end of the toasting cycle, even if toast gets jammed. Poorly made
It came with a dent on the top, some form of liquid on the outside around a button and the bottom last button looked like the finish was coming off. I toasted one slice of bread at setting #4 and it burnt. Also, you can see the electrical cords through the slit where the lever is located. Very tacky! Returning tomorrow.

Defective. Didn't work out of the box.
Didn’t work straight out of the box. Lever wouldn’t stay down. Held it down just to see if the heating mechanism worked and it did, but the outside/top of the toaster got extremely hot within seconds. I would think this would be a fire hazard. Returning as defective.

be aware of dents
Yesterday I bought one for drive through pu because I read that people received dented. Opened it in front of the delivery person it had a large dent. She went into store and brought out another which we opened, large dent. She returned first and I returned second for credit at Cust Service Counter. I reported dents on BOTH to him. I also checked the shelf and he checked the back inventory and there were no more in store. If I wanted to wait it would be a week to get more. Today I look online it shows In Store 2. Evidently they put the 2 dented back on the shelf.

I have only toasted bread so far, but I plan to try bagels and waffles as well. I would make sure to not have it up to high until you get used to it because it is very strong .

Easy to use and clean plus you can cancel the toasting with just a push of a button. Also you can toast just one piece of bread at a time or even a bagel. Doesn’t take up much room on the counter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster was just okay. I was expecting a little better quality from looking at the photos but it’s just okay. Has a couple bells and whistles but it doesn’t seem like it will last a long time. I thought it to be cool that it has different mode buttons (one slice, bagels etc.) but it is a bit of a learning curve. The 1 setting was more than enough for testing out my slices of bread. I turned the knob to the 2 setting and it came out crispy. I wish there was a light to let you know that the machine is on. I couldn’t tell until the red lights started heating up inside. There is a cord wrap which Hamilton Beach seems to be good about for space saving. I didn’t see an opening at the bottom to clean the crumbs from the tray. That could be an issue as I prefer to empty the crumbs from the bottom instead of having to turn over and shake it. Overall okay.

It toasts the inside of the bagel half while warming the outside. You also have the option of just toasting one slice of bread. Great everyday toaster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the sleek design of this stainless steel toaster. It is simple but has everything you need. It has slots wide enough for bagels. It takes up minimum counter space while looking good sitting out on the counter because of the good quality design. It toasted everything uniformly on both sides. I have used toasters previously that only toasted good on one side or the other, not the case with this toaster. I highly recommend this as your next toaster!
