Fantastic Cuisinart 2 Slice XL Toaster
I did a lot of research before deciding on this toaster and I'm very happy I chose this one. The extra wide slots are perfect for artisan sourdough breads, regular breads, bagels, waffles, etc. Heats up quickly, very easy to use and adjust to level of browning. Super easy to clean with the pull out removable crumb tray in front. Plus it looks great on my counter. Pleased that I bought, happy it was on sale too!

At last, a good toaster
Oh my! At last a toaster that toasts a single slice evenly on both sides. I only want one slice of toast for breakfast and it's taken me years to find a toaster that can toast one slice on its own properly. I also like the crumb tray being accessed from the front. Those two things along with a very reasonable price make this toaster 5 stars.

Very pleased!
Love the simplistic design. Toasts evenly. And finally a crumb tray you can access from the front.

Surprised at how well this works!
Given the reasonable price, we were very surprised at how well this worked. It’s sturdy, and the extra features truly work. We have used it for bagels, defrosting, and of course regular toastIt has great adjustments on how well you want your toast done. The defrost cycle, as we often keep English muffins in the freezer, was fantastic.

Single button
Like the unit, but, when I set the single button to on both sides still get hot, whether the bagel button is on or off. So, what is the buttons job other then turn on the light?

The longer and wider slots are perfect for my toasting needs for bagels and home-made bread. I didn't think I'd use the lift option but it has been quite handy. The buttons provide basic options which are useful for me. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Beautiful works just okay.
This toaster is beautiful but it burns my hamburger buns even on the lowest setting.

We’re sorry to hear the toaster is browning more than expected, though we’re glad you like the design. For more controlled results, we recommend trying the bagel or lighter-toast setting if available, using a shorter toasting cycle, and ensuring the crumb tray is clean as buildup can sometimes affect heat distribution. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference ticket #8901025191 so we can assist further. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us improve future product performance and consistency.

Great little toaster!
Great and simple toaster! Our old toaster that we lived finally died. This one was a reasonable price and works great for our needs. Would buy it again.

I am really happy with the great design
Wow. Perfect long huge slots! Crumb tray in front where it should be for the first time. Simple countdown timer with controls on end away from destructive heat. None of the four button functions is critical for me but I use two of them. The slide up preview function is super nice and important! negatives are: I wanted black but only option was dark gray (stone I think) and the toaster does not toast even but after months of use I think it has improved. That said, for me (although I realize for others it's a deal breaker), how even a toaster toasts is largely unimportant to me, and more-so when the toaster gets everything else right. When I toast something, I always rotate the bread once during my operation and that also helps me time the finish better.

Kettle Great, Toaster Not So
If i was jusr reviewing the kettle it would be 10/10 as the kettle is perfect, fast boil, stainless interior, good heat management and easy to use. The toaster on the other hand browns one side more than the other by from i can see 50% difference. Not sure why.

Excellent as Expected
This toaster lives up to the Cuisinart name and provides excellent quality. It’s worth the price. It toasts evenly and quickly, and the extra wide toaster slots are nice for bagels. The outside material is easy to clean. It is a bit taller than most of of toasters I’ve owned before, but it fits in the cabinet fine. Over all very pleased and would purchase again.

Just ok
Toaster is just ok, nothing special. Toast is darker on bottom then top, so need to flip bread for even toast.

Okay toaster
The toaster is nice looking and toasts well, but it is very lightweight, and it is hard to get smaller pieces of bread or mini bagels out of the slots.q

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the 2-Slice XL Slot Toaster—we’re glad to hear you like its design and toasting performance. To assist with removing smaller items, we recommend using the high-lift lever function or unplugging the unit and carefully removing items once cooled to ensure safety. The lightweight feel you noted can be due to modern materials and design choices intended to improve portability, handling, and overall ease of use without compromising performance. Thank you again for your feedback, as it helps us improve future models.

Better than expected
This toaster has a plastic case but it means you won't accidentally burn your hands. The mechanism works easily and the ability to push toast higher is a nice feature for easy retrieval. Does a good job with toast, bagels and reheating. Crumb tray is convenient at front---just slides out.

Decent
Decent toaster so far, definitely gives off a burning plastic smell initially, has not totally gone away after 10 uses. The outside is a plastic coating which was surprising so it seems cheap. It’s got big slots. So far it’s ok for the price and I wanted white so limited selections out there.

We’re sorry to hear about the odor and appreciate you sharing your experience with the 2-Slice XL Slot Toaster. A slight smell can occur during initial uses as manufacturing residues burn off, so we recommend running the toaster empty on a high setting in a well-ventilated area for a few cycles and ensuring all packaging has been fully removed. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us improve future models.
