Description

The Hamilton Beach® Extra-Wide-Slot 2 Slice Toaster has wider slots that easily fit thicker breads and bagels, as well as upgraded features that you won't find on every toaster. The bagel function perfectly toasts the cut side of bagels and warms the rounded side, giving your bagels just the right combination of crunch and warm, soft bread. Toast Boost gives small breads like English muffins and gluten-free slices a lift so they're easier to remove from the toaster. Toast your bread as brown as you like it with 7 toast shades. Just turn the shade selector to make lighter or darker toast. Cleanup is easy too. The toaster has a drop-down crumb tray that catches crumbs to keep them off your countertop. Just release the tray to discard crumbs. The defrost setting lets you defrost and toast frozen bread and waffles with the press of a button. And the cancel button lets you stop the toasting cycle any time you want. No waiting to get your toast. Auto shutoff automatically shuts off the toaster at the end of the toasting cycle, even if toast gets stuck.

    Just okay

    I liked the size of this toaster but found a problem right away. I had to press down the lever several times before it would stay and start toasting. Plus the numbers to indicate how dark you wanted for toasting were difficult to see. Toasting was just okay. I'm returning it and will order a Cuisinart. Hopefully, it will be better than this one.

    Toaster Review

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received and have used the Hamilton Beach Two-slot Toaster for approximately one month. The toaster operates fine. I like most that the bread is toasted evenly over the entire piece - not simply "in spots". The small size is nice for storage. My one dislike is the cord. It is not long enough (needs another 12 to 18 inches) and it does not conveniently exit from the bottom of the toaster. Overall, however, we are enjoying this new unit.

The extra wide slots allow for a bigger pieces of bread to be toasted, such as bagels, which is a great convenience. I like that the toaster itself is light weight, so it’s easy to move around, and it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Great toaster!

    Basic but mighty

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not think I was going to have much to say about a toaster, but I love this thing! Slots are wide for the end slices and do not get stuck and burn. The dial is easy to figure out desired toasty-level. We also taught our daughter how to (safely) use this, so now we can sleep 10 extra minutes on weekends while she gets breakfast ready. I do wish it had a better way to store or wrap the cord- but not a deal breaker. Stores easily when not in use. I forgot the simple pleasure of a regular toaster after using a toaster oven for so many years.

It also works well toasting bagels and hamburger buns. It looks good on the counter with it's shiney chrome and the selector buttons light up blue when pressed. It also cleans up easy with the hatch underneath.

I love bagels for breakfast and I love that I can put thicker bagels in it. Being able to put frozen bread/bagels in it is a plus also.
