    Disappointment

    On level 7 it barely toasts, one side is hotter than the other. Kinda disappointing given the fact is a GE

    We’d like to provide information about your toaster, and address the issue you’re having with toasting. If you’re using the Bagel setting, we can advise toasting will only be on one side, as only the inner heating elements are used in that mode. We also expect that toasting may be uneven. We have information about what to try if items aren't toasting enough on page 8 of the manual; that’s linked here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--qLnuKRXy--/0d0207591b7921ca81c85acc030d10d7ea2008ce.pdf. General troubleshooting is also available on that page. Among other tips, we recommend disconnecting the toaster from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it.     Not much to say about a toaster, it works...

    This is the 2nd toaster I have ever owned. I am sure my old one is from the 80's. This one is much nicer looking. It takes up a little more space on the counter but works great. I like the frozen option to heat up waffles and seem to get them just right. The verdict is still out on the "feet". I kind of liked the way my old one just slides out from the wall, where this one has non-slip feet on it, you have to pick it up to move it. I do like the knob dial setting. I bought this becasue I got a offer from my Capital One credit card, get 50 statement credit when you spend 50...

    Not as convenient as we’d like

    The setting for the degree of toasting is not accurate. The lowest setting is not toasted enough and the mid range is over done. They need to be more precise. We don’t use white bread mass produced loaves, we use bakery bread which tends to be wider and we have to cut part of the slice off in order for it to fit in the toaster.

    The 7 toasting settings were designed to provide an array of options to fit everyone's preference. The toaster is a standard size which fits most bread types.

    Perfect toaster!

    I love my new stainless steel GE toaster! It is just large enough for my husband and I - a two-piece toaster. Light- weight and easy to clean. Just what we needed! Toasts to the perfect darkness. Easy to use !

    Nice looking basic toaster.

    This is a basic toaster, no frills. It has brown setting knob. Three buttons, bagel, frozen and cancel. Pretty much like all the budget friendly toasters. We have GE for all our major appliances and trust the brand. Looks and works nice. Make sure to cycle the toaster through empty a few times to cure the burners and get rid of the smell.

    Hot exterior

    The toaster works great, but the exterior gets extremely hot. Not a good choice if you have small children.

    Not Quality Toaster

    I bought this toaster based on reviews. I did not want a cheap inferior quality toaster. I thought I was getting quality. We have had the toaster 6 days. From day 1 it has not toasted evenly. One side is perfectly toasted and the other half done. This is not quality! This toaster also takes a long time to toast. We could live with that if the toaster toasted evenly. I feel that I have wasted my money. I think that I even have to pay to return this toaster for another one!
