We're sorry to hear your Quick-Prep Single-Speed Hand Blender did not operate as expected right out of the box. If you haven't already, please ensure the blending shaft is fully locked into the motor body and test the unit in a different outlet, as the blender will not run if the attachment is not securely assembled. Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate you sharing your experience and value the opportunity to help.

I was excited to use this as I always wanted an immersion blender. I had a a pot roast and this machine couldnt blend the carrots and onions to make the gravy. Nor could it even mash potatoes.

We're sorry to hear that the Cuisinart Quick-Prep Single-Speed Hand Blender did not perform as expected with your pot roast and mashed potatoes. For best results, immersion blenders are typically most effective with softer ingredients and liquids, so adding additional broth or cooking liquid and blending in smaller portions may help improve performance. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our products and consumer experience, and we thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

Two button press is TERRIBLE!
As a user experience designer, I can firmly say that this team did not do adequate ergonomics, human factors, and user experience design research. The two button press being a required action in order to use this blender is TERRIBLE… Especially for a small hand and someone with any semblance of nails. I am an adult, not a child—I don’t need a lock to unlock every time I want to use my hand blender. I should have listened to the reviews and purchased a different hand blender. I literally have to use two hands just to use this? Ease of use gets a -5 out of positive 5 stars on this one. What happened to form follows function? This will be returned ASAP.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the operation of the hand blender did not meet your expectations; the two-button activation is a safety feature designed to help prevent unintended operation, but we understand it may be less convenient for some users. For easier use, we recommend positioning your thumb on the safety lock before gripping the handle and engaging the power button, which may provide a more comfortable experience during blending. Thank you for your comments, as your feedback helps us improve future products and better meet the needs of our consumers.

Blends well
I love to use my stick blender for mixing eggs with cottage cheese to make fluffy scrambled eggs! It gets the job done and is easy to use.

A good handheld blender
I found this blender to have plenty of power and it’s easy to use. I’ve made mayonnaise, and smoothies so far but, I’m sure it’s capable of doing much more.

Fun to Use, a great upgrade for your kitchen
Includes everything you’ll need in an immersion blender, including the cup. The whisk attachment was surprisingly useful. Even though I have a kitchen aide mixer, for simple stuff that I'm too lazy to add to the big mixer, the whisk attachment gets the job done.

Great mixer/blender, not a frother
I love this for easily mixing a smoothie with frozen ingredients in a quart jar. Tried it first for frothing a coffee drink, but it was no better than a spoon for that.

Why 2 buttons to turn power on?
Nice looking; powerful motor but the 2 button power up is awkward to use
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 8 months ago
Thank you for your feedback and for noting the motor’s performance and design. The two-button power-up is an intentional safety feature designed to help prevent accidental activation and reduce the risk of injury during use. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as input like this helps us continue to improve usability while maintaining safety.

Works well, struggles a little with thick sauces
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blender works well but it does seem to struggle a bit when the sauce you're mixing is a bit thick, requiring adding water and repeated passes. This may be true of other hand benders as well.

Not very ergonomic
To activate the motor, you must push the top "Unlock" button in order to activate the "On" button. This makes it very hard to actually activate the immersion blender in a pulse fashion. We returned it and went with a different brand.

Whisk is what I wanted, whisk is making me happy
I have no need for a hand blender. I'm getting too old to whisk eggs. It takes too long and my elbows and wrists hurt. Decided to buy this. It works well. I've used the whisk a couple of times while I've never used the blender. The only thing I'd change is having three speeds. With that, I might use it for more things.

Wonderful kitchen helper
The Smart Stick is powerful and easy to use. I received it for Christmas and have used it many times already. Can’t wait for hot pepper season so I can use my Smart Stick for blending peppers for hot sauce.

Money down the drain!
Bought this hand blender last year, after a few washes I noticed that water would stay inside the metal part and would go up to the motor. Cuisinart exchanged it for the same and 6 months later, I have the same issue. Gross and dangerous! They refused to reimburse me.
