GE LED+ Battery Backup Light Bulb

AMAZING PRODUCT! When the power went off due to a terrible thunderstorm I had a bulb in each room of the house and they lasted about 4 hours and they started going dead. At least I had piece of mind when the lights went out!

Amazing. Lasted MUCH longer in recent power outage than it even states. I use in my regular lamps. My power went out while the lamp was on and it remained on. First night I left it on for four hours (to try and conserve). Next night it lasted for over 12 hours, dimming the last little bit. Planning to replace my fixture bulbs with this bulb. Game changer and pleasant, warm lighting!

I bought a 3 box of the flood light 65watt and I bought and a box of 5 traditional 60watt. So, I installed them and the light is phenomenal, great light. When I turn the wall switch to off the bulbs stay on? I am not sure what I am not doing correctly with these new battery back up bulbs. I am missing something? When I turn off the wall light switch shouldn't the light go off rather than staying on? Does anyone else have this issue with wall light switch?

Nice to have a lightbulb with a backup battery especially if you live in a state that has hurricanes, I was the only one who had light on our street during our recent hurricane in Florida. 1000% recommend if you live in a area that loses power from natural disasters or power outages.

Really works for 10 hours need more time next level please

They really work amazing when the power is out.

These are WELL worth the money! I use these as my regular lightbulbs in my living room lamps and when the power goes off they are fully charged and ready to use just like a regular lamp. Love these so much I am converting all my lamps to these bulbs.

You wouldn’t know this was a battery backup lightbulb unless someone told you! We haven’t had a power outage yet, but I read other reviews that said simply unplugging the lamp does NOT test the auto-on function (it’s smarter than that). I only gave 4 stars because I won’t really know if it works until power goes out snd this thing is $$$$$.

These are a life save during power outages. Gives great amount of soft light. They are much cheaper in my area during off peak weather season. I have one for most rooms in my house and the kids are no longer afraid when the power goes out during a storm.

Light is dim. Does not work in lamp when power outage occurs.

Comes on when the power goes out. Bulbs last about 5 hours on the battery. Light is a nice soft/almost warm white so not a horrendous cold blue light or anything. Nice that you can take out and use as a flashlight also. They dim a little when on battery but that was expected. Overall really good product for the price and will probably buy more.

Bulb flickers when on which is annoying, thought maybe it needs to work with non-dimming lamps so move to another floor lamp but as soon as I twist bulb in it lights up even though lamp is off and the battery switch is off, tried on another overhead hanging lamp same behavior. Great idea but execution is flaky and flickering behavior very annoying

Just turn on the light to charge the battery. It’s that simple! When the power goes out you can either turn on the lamp (cord must be plugged into the outlet for it to work), or remove the lightbulb and flip the switch to use it as a flashlight. I have 3 of these so far- 1 for my bedroom and 1 for each of my kids’ rooms- but I will definitely be getting more for the rest of my house!

Deal with many power outages in our area frequently so have placed several of these throughout the house in key areas and entry points. When power goes out just need to flip switch and have light. Need to use bulb occasionally with power to make sure fully charged and will last a few hours when needed. Good price,trusted company. Highly recommend. We had a great time with the GE battery backup powered lightbulb party. We turned the lights off except the one lamp with the GE bulb, had glow sticks and all played twister. We made vigin hurricane drinks and kept cool with our GE fans. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It’s like having an extra flashlight or lantern, knowing exactly where it is. When the power is out, you can unscrew it and bring it where you want (or bring the entire lamp). One thing you’ll have to watch out for is that the extra battery makes the bulb a bit taller than a normal bulb - so you’ll need to check your lamp size - it will be too big for certain lamps. Note: this bulb is also good for dad jokes. If you are a dad, you’re contractually obligated to hold the lightbulb over your head with it on, and then tell your kids that you have a great idea.
