I persuaded my teenage daughter to come out of her room for a while to try making them with me. The cookies turned out really well - not too dry, and nice molten chunks of chocolate mixed in. I'd show you, but we ate them all before I remembered to take a picture. You'll have to take my word for it, I guess! Ghirardelli is always a go-to when we're baking with chocolate.

It comes sectioned into 8 half ounce breakoff pieces, so it is easy to measure in your recipes. They include a flourless cake recipe in the inside of the box and a dark chocolate cookie recipe. Yum!

If you let it melt on your tongue - it goes through several different flavor profiles, just as a good chocolate should. You taste the smoothness and bitterness at first but as the journey continues you taste different notes of fruitiness. It is a rich chocolate so you do not need to consume too much. It would be an excellent baking chocolate due to its texture and lack of sweetness. You can melt it and it is silky smooth and adding some sweetness would not make a dessert sickly sweet. The carb count is low for anyone watching their carb intake. I recommend this product on its own and for baking. Ghirardelli has a great reputation for a reason. This chocolate bar is one of the small reasons. Go out and try one today.

I laid it out on the counter, but I guess the other members of my household found the bar delicious. They saved me a sliver, and while I was hesitant to try it as I was expecting super bitter baking chocolate, my concerns were unfounded. This chocolate is truly delicious on its own. It's not overly sweet, and a simple square is perfect with a glass of red wine.
