Warping can sometimes happen when you slide the cold (room-temperature) cookie sheet into a hot 400°F oven, the thin metal heats up quickly but not all at the same rate. Parts of the sheet expand faster than others. To avoid this, try preheating the pan gradually in the oven. The measurements given are incorrect. The sheet at its widest, including the grip area, is 19.5" wide, not 17". This is important if you have an apartment-sized oven (eg my rack area is 18" wide) that can't accommodate a large pan.
