Description

Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb). It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 5” of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit, the adjustable extension panel and 50 lb rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. The seat features the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, which allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness in one motion, and InRight LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment. Harnessing is made easier with fuss-free harness storage pockets that conveniently hold the harness out of the way while you get baby in and out of the car seat. This car seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to the newest testing standards for side and frontal impact, and beyond—because the safety of your child shouldn’t stop at the standard.

Q: Can this car seat be used without a base, so that it can be used in taxi cabs or ubers?

submitted by CityMama - 7 years ago

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! Easy to install, feels safe without being overbearing and my kids love it. We bought one for my son 2 years ago, we all loved it so we bought the pink version for my daughter. Highly recommend!

Wish I had bought this sooner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time mom here. Went with an infant seat (one of the "fancy" brands) for the first year or so until my baby outgrew it, and then got this Graco. My toddler loves it! Fits both my child and the car (Toyota Highlander) perfectly, toddler looks very comfy in it, the cupholders are a fun feature too. It was easy to install. I already had to wash the cover once, it came out of the wash looking brand new and dried very quickly. I wish I'd gone with this seat from the beginning instead of starting with the infant seat.

Sturdy and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this car seat so much that we bought another for our second! Bulky, but feels very safe and is very easy to use. I wouldn't recommend for a smaller newborn, even with the inserts. It just felt like their head wobbled more, but it's awesome 3mo and up.

Great for growing babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 18-month old has outgrown her infant car seat, so we transitioned to this one. It's great! Much more comfortable and sturdy. I'm confident it will last a very long time.

Safe and comfy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought one for each car seat, baby has lots of legroom and seems very comfortable. Adjustable and safe/ not wiggly. Like the cup holders for holding milk and snacks. Harness needs a bit of force to properly tighten but we figured it out.

Great Car Seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have bought multiples of these for our kids and our cars. They are easy to use and in particular they are fairly easy to transfer from one car to another. We take long road trips with our kids and they have always seemed pretty comfortable in their seats.

Great Car Seat for Not-So-Little Littles!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my child who was quickly starting to outgrow their infant car seat. While it was nice to be able to place my child in the car seat inside, it was definitely getting very difficult to transport them to the car and back. As such, I had to remove the padding for the head and bottom because my child was too big. It was really easy to remove and looks like it would be a very comfortable way to be safe if they could use it. It was really easy to install with the LATCH system, pretty much a no-brained if you’ve done it before and not too hard to figure out if you haven’t done it before. The ball on the side makes it very easy to tell if it’s reclined properly for my child’s age, and the reclining lever is so easy to use. A bit trickier if your child is in the seat, but still doable. The straps are easy to use and set up, I love the no-rethread harness! So easy to adjust, even with your child in the seat. It fits fairly well in the backseat of mine and my husbands’ cars (2013 Ford Escape and 2020 Mazda 3). The main reason I went with this seat is because of the extended legroom. My child is very leggy and long already so I know I’ll need a seat to ensure they can sit rear-facing as long as possible. The extension panel is very easy to use and fits in the Ford well, but not quite in the Mazda unless I lean it back which then makes it uncomfortable for the front-seat passenger. My only qualm is that I wish all the car seat materials were fire-resistant chemical free and PFAS-free. Other than that, I’ve really liked this car seat so far and am excited to see how easy it is to use it in forward-facing.

Love!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a couple months ago and have been so happy with the comfortability with the padding and legroom for my daughter. Such an easy recline and love how loose the harness can get for an easy in and out. Compared to our old infant car seat we might just skip it the second time around and go straight to this one. Love how it can face backwards for so long as well!

Extended rear face for the win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddo was about to outgrow her old seat and we had a hard time finding one big enough to rear face. This one will allow for alot of growth . The harness fits and so does the padding. Instalation was easy, and the seat is stable. The recline is super easy to use

Good, not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using this car seat for about a month. I love the double cupholder, but they fall out if you breathe too hard on them. The release on the harness is difficult, to say the least. It’s a button in between the feet but there’s no hole or indicator on the cover for where it is, so if you’re unfamiliar with the seat it’s really hard to find and also kind of hard to push. We bought it for the safety ratings and its ability to be extended rear facing, so it’s still worth having.

Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Graco car seat! I used Graco car seats with my firstborn and loved them so much that I chose them again for my second baby. They’re comfortable, easy to use, and have held up so well over time. As a mom of two, I love finding baby products I can truly trust, and Graco has definitely been one of them. Highly recommend!
