Q: What is the diameter across the top rim of this Pan? Is it 10" or 10.5"? Am asking as I have a lid that I would like to use on this pan that is 10.5" '

submitted by KC - 4 years ago
  • A: I just bought this 10" pan hoping the cover of my old 10" GreenPan would fit it - it didn't. Don't know the line of my old pan but the inside diameter was right at 10". This pan has closer to a 10.5" inside diameter. Your lit would probably fit...

Could not fry an egg without it sticking to the pan every time! Save your money and time (from scrubbing) and buy a different brand.

We are very sorry to hear about the issues with your cookware. This issue can be easily resolved! It is likely that you have a layer of carbonized oil built up on your pan that will create a barrier between the pan and your food. When this happens, you are basically cooking on the layer of oil as opposed to the surface of the pan. This layer may not be visible. This cleaning method has proven to be extremely successful and can be used when you notice staining and/or sticking. For the best results, please try this method twice. Once complete, you may resume normal washing with soap and sponge. Fill the pan halfway with water and bring it to a near boil for about 2 minutes. Pour out the water and place the pan on a sturdy surface such as a wooden cutting board. Carefully use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the warm surface; this should do the trick. If this does not work, please email GreenPan directly at customercare.us@greenpan.com. They are happy to help!

Wanted to love this pan and it started out great. Now it's no longer non stick - took care to use soft sponges - never really had to scrub - but now all my food burns easily and sticks strongly to the bottom. Very disappointed that this pan only lasted 9 months. Will not purchase again.

I had these pans for almost a year when the handles when on fire while cooking on medium heat. Only then did I realize the underside of every single handle of these pans are browned on the bottom and could have burst into flames at any moment. I contacted customer service three times only to be ignored.

The good reviews must be for the first use. Otherwise this thing became steadily useless after a week. Slather it with oil or otherwise. Terrible buy. Do yourself a favor and get a name brand.

Handles burn

1 out of 5 stars
pamm - 5 months ago
originally posted on greenpan.us
While these pans do not stick, the handle does burn emitting horrible toxic fumes. I read previous reviews stating this, so I was extra precautions. I am extremely disappointed in the response from customer service. They treated me as if I was stupid and to blame for their design flaw. Clearly, the metal piece extending from the pan to the handle is not long enough to prevent the handle from melting. A frying pan should be designed to handle high heat. Or perhaps you need to sell them as low-flame-only pans, which you do not. I will not purchase from you again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pans come in three sizes and are very useful. The color are very elegant and they natch my kitchen. The pans are very sturdy and very good quality. They are non stick and cleaning is easy. Food does not stick and it just slides out. They do take a little longer to heat up but it is not a problem.

Waiting to hear on PTFE content, if any

I bought the 12" Rio Frypan last week at my grocery store after seeing "TOXIN FREE", "FREE OF PFAS, PFOA, LEAD AND CADMIUM". It did not register with me at the time that no mention is made of it being free of PTFE (Teflon). Additionally when I came to this website I notice there is no mention of it being free of PTFE on the website, either. I need to hear from the GreenPan. Company why there is no mention of these pans being PTFE (Teflon) FREE on the information that comes with the pan or on the website. The pan information says "The Original Greenpan". Is this the first pan the GreenPan company made when PTFEs (Teflon) might have been considered to be safe? Anyway, won't be using until I hear from the company about the PTFE / Teflon issue, and can't give it a better rating than 1 at this point, and the 1 is for this pan's beautiful aqua color.
